Not all volunteering opportunities are the same.

At the Marine Training Corps, you'll be part of a close-knit organisation where every volunteer has the chance to make a real impact. We're proud of our hands-on approach, strong community spirit, and commitment to developing both our cadets and our adult instructors.

Whether you're looking to learn new skills, challenge yourself, gain leadership experience, or simply be part of something rewarding, the MTC offers opportunities that are as varied as the people who join us.

Our volunteers don't just supervise activities—they help shape confident, resilient young people, lead exciting training experiences, and become part of a team that values initiative, friendship, and personal growth.

You don't need previous military experience. We provide training, support, and opportunities to develop at your own pace. All you need is enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference.

If you're looking for more than just a volunteer role—if you want to be part of an organisation where your contribution truly matters—the Marine Training Corps could be exactly what you're looking for.

Join a team that develops young people, strengthens communities, and gives you the chance to grow along the way.

Across the last two weeks, cadets have taken part in a wide range of training activities, building skills, confidence, and teamwork in every session.

Alongside this, cadets have been busy with fieldcraft and adventure training, including navigation, teamwork exercises, and practical outdoor challenges. These sessions really test resilience and encourage cadets to think, lead, and work together under pressure. A huge well done to all cadets and volunteers involved for their effort and commitment.

If you’re interested in joining us as a cadet or adult volunteer, we’re always happy to welcome new members. Just drop us a message to find out more.
