How Hill Trust Residential environmental study centre. A unique setting for business or private functions and private residential group hire.

How Hill House, situated in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, was built in 1904 by the architect Edward Thomas Boardman as his family's holiday home. The house became a study centre in 1967, but ever since 1984 it has been managed by an independent charitable trust which ensures that the property is cherished. The house is surrounded by delightful Edwardian gardens, but there is also a quite separate woodland garden featuring a magnificent springtime display of azaleas. The How Hill windows look out over a 365 acre estate, which is a most attractive and unique Broadland landscape, including reed beds, meadows, a small broad, woodlands, a reach of the River Ant, a marshman's cottage, and restored windmills.

Tomorrow our woodland walk opens for our family friendly pumpkin trail, with our very own house witch Becky!

We wonder if you might spot some creatures in their dens too!

Open Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th October 10am to dusk!

Donations welcome in cash or via our QR code
Dogs on leads are also welcome!

Thanks to all those who have donated to us so far, we still need a big push to get halfway.
I wonder if we can get there by the end of August?

Please share to help us out! (Or donate🤭)

We hosted a wonderful 60th wedding anniversary at the weekend. What was even more special, that we had hosted the same couple a decade beforehand!

Here are some photos of the wonderful buffet our kitchen team created. The salmon was first to go!

Remember, if you want to host a special celebration or an event here at the house, our team can tailor the menu to your needs. Please contact us via our website for more information.

Did you know we have a brlliant in house kitchen team?

They certainly do make some delicious food and if you happen to book with us for a special occasion, family celebration, hold a workshop, have a corporate day, or for many other reasons, then our kitchen team can personalise a menu just for your event or stay.

Any questions about making a booking, or to speak with us about a booking you already have, please contact us through the link in our bio for emails and phone numbers.

We also have a pudding evening coming up if you fancy joining us for that!
