CENTRAL CONTROL OF LIDS AND LEATHERS ENDING
Since starting the Lids and Leathers Appeal we have had a nation wide network of Reps collecting and supplying old Helmets and Motorbike clothing to Emergency Services, Training organisations all over the country for use in mock accidents and Training of how to safely remove motorbike gear in accident situations.
Unfortunately the Appeal grew so large that controlling it has become a bit of a monster with many of the services we supply having had more donations than they can use and many reps being overwhelmed with donations, we feel that we can no longer effectively run the appeal from a central location and therefore are stepping back from the organisational role we had previously filled.
We would like to thank all the Reps who have worked so hard over the years to gather and deliver the Lids and Leathers to where they could be used as well as thanking all of you who have donated over the years.
We are not closing the page and would like to encourage you all to share on here any organisations who can make use of old Lids and Leathers, as well as this many of our reps as listed in the pinned post are still actively collecting and distributing in their areas so please feel free to contact them and see if your area is still active.
Thank you all again for helping us make Lids and Leathers such a huge success.
