Would you like to showcase your business at this year’s Slaley First School Family Fun Afternoon?

We’re inviting local businesses, independent traders, crafters, charities and organisations to join us on:

For just £10 per stand, you’ll have the opportunity to:

✨ Support a fantastic local charity event
✨ Be part of a fun-filled afternoon for our community

🎉 CALLING ALL SLALEY FIRST SCHOOL PARENTS AND LOCAL COMMUNITY…..

DONATIONS NEEDED!

Our Family Fun Afternoon is getting closer, and we’re now collecting a few more items to help make the day a fantastic success for everyone.

📚 We’re looking for:
• Children’s and adult second-hand books
• Bottle bags for our popular Wine to Water stall

🍰 Cake Donations
If you enjoy baking (or buying! 😊), we’d be incredibly grateful for donations of cakes on Monday 13th July, ready for our Cake Stall on the day of the event.

🙋 Volunteers Needed
A huge thank you to everyone who has already offered to help—we really couldn’t do it without you! If you have an hour or two to spare on Tuesday 14th July, we’d still love a few extra volunteers to help run stalls and make the afternoon a success.

Every donation and every helping hand makes a real difference to our small village school and helps us continue providing extra opportunities and resources for our children.

Thank you so much for your continued support. We can’t wait to see everyone on Tuesday 14th July, 1pm–5pm for what promises to be a brilliant afternoon of fun!

🌿 Exciting News! 🌿

We’re absolutely delighted to share that our new Outdoor Log Cabin Classroom is due to arrive w/c 29th June! 🎉

This is such a huge milestone for Slaley First School, and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support we have received from so many people.

A very special thank you goes to Tuin, who have generously supported our project with:
🪵 A reduction in the purchase price
🪵 FREE Foundation Beams
🪵 A complimentary upgrade to enhanced flooring

Their generosity has helped turn our vision into reality, and we are incredibly grateful.

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to every family, community member, local business and everyone who has donated to this project, including those who wished to remain anonymous. Every donation, no matter the size, has helped us reach this exciting stage.

Together, you’ve created something truly special that will benefit the children of Slaley First School for many years to come.

🍦 A HUGE THANK YOU TO TYNE VALLEY ICES! 🍦

We are delighted to announce that Tyne Valley Ices will be joining us at the Slaley First School Family Fun Afternoon on Tuesday 14th July 2026.

Not only will they be bringing along their beautiful traditional ice cream trike, but they have very generously offered the trike completely free of charge to support our event and our school community.

Tyne Valley Ices have been serving delicious ice cream across the region for over 50 years, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.

So whether you’re coming along for Bobby Topp, the Northern Entertainment activities, the BBQ, cakes, refreshments, raffle or simply a great afternoon out, be sure to treat yourself to an ice cream too! 🍦

Come along for outdoor fun, messy play, little adventures and a warm welcome for you and your little one.

🎪 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🎪

Our Slaley First School Family Fun Afternoon is fast approaching and we’re looking for support from our amazing school community to help make the day a huge success.

🏕️ GAZEBOS NEEDED
If you have a gazebo that FoSS can borrow for the event, please let the school know as soon as possible. The more gazebos we have, the better!

We are also looking for:
🍷 Full or empty screw-top wine bottles
🧸 Toys for the Pocket Money Toy Stall (Lucky Dip)
⚽ A volunteer to run our Beat the Goalie activity
🧁 Homemade or shop-bought cakes
📚 Children’s and adult books for our book stall

💙 HELP ON THE DAY
If you are available before 1:00pm on the day of the event and would be willing to help put up gazebos and set up stalls, please let us know. We will confirm arrangements closer to the time.

⚠️ Please do not bring any donations into school yet. We will let everyone know when collection weeks are taking place for each item.
