Come to The Torch Centre, Hexham Saturday 5th September and enjoy the music stylings of ATAC a brilliant little band who will be performing live for us!

No entry fee or tickets needed just come down, bring friends and family and enjoy a fun filled night of music! We have an excellent selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks alike and a selection of crisps and chocolate if you’re feeling peckish. Bar open from around 18:30 with last orders at 22:00

Fantastic turn out this morning with Hexham Wombles with the help of the Hexham Rotary Tynedale Lions Club The Torch Flames Suzanne Fairless-Aitken Hexham Town Council Hexham Flood Wardens

We cleaned the Sele Park, Town Centre, Tanners Yard and beyond!

A massive Thank you to all our volunteers who came out in force today in a busy farmers market day to litter pick!

Our next little wombeling will take place Saturday 22nd of August 2026

So bring your nan, bring the family, bring the dog and have a fun few hours socialising and making new friends and catching up with old ones while admiring the new play park!

Fun fact: Did you know that Hexham market place is home to the only VR pillar (post box) between Newcastle and Carlisle and dates back to at least 1875

An amazing wombeling today with the Hexham Wombles at Wydon Resevoir with the help of The Torch Flames, Hexham Town Council, Suzanne Fairless-Aitken Tynedale Lions Club & Tynedale Rotary Hexham to launch our new Scoop The P**p dog fowling campaign with posters put up and litter picked (not p**p)!

Once again our fantastic volunteers have collected a great hall of litter and have made the place very tidy! So Thankyou everyone we really appreciate it

We even found time to feed the ducks 🦆 and play at the park whilst still collecting our fantastic haul of litter!

ATAC were amazing tonight at The Torch Centre, Hexham playing songs such as Summer of 69, Teenage Dirtbag, Eye of the tiger, and many more!
