Our cafe is closed today as we are catering for a wedding celebration at Hay Castle in Hay-on-Wye. Apologies for any inconvenience. We will be back open tomorrow from 10am.

Learn the centuries-old art of traditional Japanese Orizomegami paper dyeing.

In this workshop you will learn to decorate paper by folding it and dipping it in pigment. This method is simple to learn but offers endless possibilities for combining colours and patterns, in a process that is mesmerizing and endlessly satisfying. Papers can be used for gift wrapping, card making, envelope lining, book binding or other creative applications.

This workshop will be led by Aoife Higgins, a visual artist and bookbinder based in Ludlow who enjoys experimenting with methods of paper decoration.

No experience is needed and all materials will be provided.

The lovely people at Three Inch Fools have just sent through some photos from their recent rehearsals of "King Arthur and the Holy Fail" which will be coming to Hay Castle Lawn on Friday 7th August. We thought you might like to see what they have been up to - looks like fun.
