Three Cocks Matters

We aim to help with getting more amenities for the area in all forms; Play areas, Green spaces, and lots to benefit all ages.

The aim of our charity is to promote a caring, healthy and empowered community of Three C***s and surrounding areas that is supported by an accessible, safe and environmentally friendly local environment through activities, events and fundraisers The Trustees:

Who we are and what we want to do:
We are a few residents from Three C***s that have come together wanting to get our communities voice heard. However, our main aim is to bring Three C***s together and unify our community by holding events and social get togethers to regenerate our area. We would love for more community members to add their name to the list of contributors (those who are able to give time to help) so please let us know if you are able to do so. There is a closed group for contributors which you will be added to in order to make things like organising events and being kept in the loop of the behind the senses action.

🚗 SPEED WATCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🚗

Could you spare just 1 hour a month to help make Three C***s safer?

Three C***s Matters Community Group is looking for a few local volunteers to join our Community Speed Watch team.

Speeding continues to be one of the biggest concerns raised by residents, and this is a simple but effective way for local people to help make a difference.

✅ Help improve road safety

You don’t need any previous experience – just a willingness to help.

🌿 Community Action Sunday – Next Sunday (21st June) 🌿

Got a couple of hours spare next Sunday morning?

Come and join us for our monthly Community Action Sunday, where local volunteers of all ages help care for and improve our community.

This month we’ll be:
🌳 Spreading woodchip around our community woodland and young trees
🗑️ Litter picking around the village (time permitting)

📍 Meet outside the Express café in the car park at The Old Railway, Three C***s
🕤 Meet from 9.30am | Activities 10am–12pm

If you have a wheelbarrow, spade or gloves, please bring them along, but don’t worry if you don’t – just turning up is enough.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All ages welcome
⏰ Come for 30 minutes or the full 2 hours
💚 No experience needed

It’s amazing what can be achieved when people come together. Whether you’re a regular volunteer or thinking of joining us for the first time, we’d love to see you there.

Just two hours. Real local impact.

💚 THANK YOU 💚

As Volunteers’ Week comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Big Lunch 2026 yesterday such a wonderful success.

It was fantastic to see people of all ages coming together to share food, enjoy activities, meet new people and celebrate the community spirit that makes Three C***s such a special place.

A special thank you goes to everyone who volunteered their time, whether by helping organise the event, setting up and decorating the hall, baking cakes, donating prizes, running activities, serving refreshments, tidying away afterwards or simply lending a hand where it was needed.

We would also like to thank Gwernyfed High School for providing the venue, the 1st Glasbury And Tregoyd Scout Group for joining us, and everyone who came along and supported the event.

Volunteers are at the heart of strong communities. Every hour given, every skill shared and every act of kindness helps make a real difference.

From all of us at Three C***s Matters thank you for helping us build a stronger, friendlier and more connected community.
