The annual Women’s Aid Quiz night is underway and we have almost 150 people in the room having a great time and supporting us.

Reigning champions Advantage Finance have two tables and are hoping to retain the trophy.

A few thankyou’s to some amazing people for making this happen.

Beachcomber Entertainment Centre who have been such an incredible support. Providing the venue, prizes and so much more.

Crazy Crew Party Planners and The Modern Castle for fabulous DJ services and table decorations too.

We also have had some brilliant prizes donated from The Coach House, Restaurant61, Dexters Bar & Grill, Outdoor Terrace and The Caxton Theatre Grimsby

It’s always a brilliant night and this year is bigger and better than ever before

Homemade sandwiches, cakes and plenty of cups of tea, all helping to raise over £400 for Women’s Aid NEL 💜

Diana and Marie organised a fundraising lunch, serving up homemade treats for just £3, with name cards and a raffle adding to the total.

They visited our Tiverton shop to deliver the proceeds to shop manager Lorraine, pictured in the middle, with Diana on the left and Marie on the right.

We’re so grateful for the time, thought and effort that went into bringing everyone together because support like this helps us continue to support those affected by domestic abuse across North East Lincolnshire.

Thank you, Diana and Marie, and everyone who came along, bought a ticket or contributed to the day.

What a lovely example of our community making a difference together.

Job Vacancy - Saturday Retail Shop Supervisor - Immingham

Your Saturdays could look like this… 💜

You arrive at our Immingham charity shop, get everything ready for the day and welcome the volunteer team. There’s new stock to put out, a display to refresh and time for a quick catch-up so everyone knows what they’re doing.

As the shop gets busier, you’re helping a customer find something, supporting a volunteer on the till and thanking someone who’s brought in donations. You’re keeping an eye on what’s selling, making sure the shop looks inviting and helping the team stay organised.

By closing time, you’re checking the takings and leaving things ready for the next trading day, knowing the income you’ve helped raise supports those affected by domestic abuse.

That’s a flavour of life as our new Retail Shop Supervisor.

It brings together the community spirit of charity shop volunteering with the responsibility of a paid role. You’ll be hands-on, leading the Saturday team and helping everyone do their best, with an additional weekday working alongside the Retail Manager.

If you have experience supervising a retail team, are confident with tills and cash handling and enjoy working with people, we’d love to hear from you.

• Immingham charity shop
• 13 hours a week: 6.5 hours every Saturday plus 6.5 hours on one flexible weekday
• £13 per hour
• Closing date: Friday 16 October 2026
• Interviews: Friday 23 October 2026

Our online retail team is going from strength to strength, spotting those donated items that are a little unusual, collectable or simply worth more than you might expect.

Rather than putting them straight onto the shop floor, selected items are listed on our eBay shop, helping us reach buyers much further afield and get the best possible value from your generous donations.
