Sunday afternoon I had the pleasure of being invited to Cleethorpes Cricket Club by the lovely Mike.from Astral Lodge No 3841

They were holding a raffle as part of there annual Cricket event, and the proceeds were being donated to ourselves,

The Lodges that entered Teams and supported he event were -

St Peter Lodge
Smyth Lodge
St James Lodge
Industry Lodge
Lord Worsley Lodge
And Astral Lodge.

The partners of St Peter Lodge members entered a team and then random spectators got a team together to help the numbers.

Mikes comments -
A great effort, but no where near as great as the hard work you do continuously.
I will do all I can to help raise awareness and funds where I can.

It was my first Cricket event and a very enjoyable afternoon.

Many thanks Mike the lovely Karen and Alison for all your hard work £720 was raised on the day and we will look forward in recieving in the comimg weeks, another great contribution towards the We Are One Foundation and the work that we do

Many thanks to the wonderful Arundels Produce LTD for not only supplying the vegetables for our Outreach Kitchen yesterday but dropping off this wonderful donation of produce for this weeks Community Pantry, your fabulous produce is very gratefully received by the community we serve on a weekly basis

“Great news! As part of the Humber Gateway Community Fund, we are pleased to announce that Lincolnshire Community Foundation have awarded us £2500.00.

We will be using this funding to support our "MEAL DEAL" take away homeless bags, ensuring refreshments are always an option and not donation dependant, bags are nutritious as well as practical, environmentally friendly disposable cutlery is available along with, washing machine tabs through the winter months.

And all of a sudden this move becomes a reality...
Our first move to our new premises was probably one of the last additions to our soon to be old.

From at the We Are ONE Foundation we would like to say a special Thank you to Steve at C.R. HANSARD LIMITED Who has supported this move in true Hansard Style,

Steve has been a supporter of our charity from a distance since we purchased this container and it landed on site, as a business we cannot reccomend Steve and his team highly enough from first contact to delivery with regular check ins, his communication, puctuality and professionalism Is second to none.

Thanks Steve and your team you truly are amazing

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Our Food Provision and Welcome Space is on the move along with our Outreach Kitchen within time, to what will become our forever home.

Our life long dream is becoming a reality with securing a building which will house three of the services that we offer under one roof and more importantly bring our Outreach Kitchen inside,

Our Outreach Kitchen will see the biggest impact - so please do bare with us, we are only people after all. No more queues of people standing in the rain waiting for food, or sat on the pavement eating out of foil trays, knifes, forks, plates, tables, chairs and access to a toilet are definatly the future along with access to a laundry area to wash and dry those soaking wet clothes and sleeping bags in the winter months.

Our final date at the Hub will be Tuesday 11th of August with a move date of the 12th and we will ne re-opening at 73 Kent Street on the 20th of August.

Outreach kitchen will follow largely dependant on funding. £££££

We are in need of support, funds have never been so important, but trades hands and materials are also in need,

Plumber - plumb in washing machine

Hands - its a big move and any support is gratefully recieved even if for a couple of hours.
