🏆🏆Rowing Regatta 🏆🏆

This weekend saw the unit in action in the NorthEast District - Eastern Area District Rowing Regatta.

The unit has been busy over the previous number of weeks training a variety of different crews in different ages categories ready for the big day.

The unit entered 4 teams:
- Junior Girls
- Open Boys
- Open Girls
- Junior Section

The day was a very windy day, meaning the rowing course had to be moved to a less windy area. This meant the unit cadets and parents would not be able to cheer on as much as they normally do. BUT the unit stood strong and achieved some excellent results over the weekend for the unit.

The results are:
2nd Place - Junior Girls 🥈
3rd Place - Open Boys 🥉
2nd Place - Open Girls 🥈
3rd Place - Junior Section 🥉

Well Done to each and every cadet who turned up to train, at all the training sessions and then to race in the events on the day.

Results like this don't just happen, they are a process of training and discipline from the cadets and the adults involved.

📣📣What a Week!!📣📣

This week saw a fantastic opportunity for Grimsby and Cleethorpes Sea Cadets. We was kindly asked to represent the Sea Cadets when, King Charles came to formally open the Horizon Youth Space in the town.

2 of our cadets, POC Kacey and LC Macaulay attended on behalf of the unit.

They where able to talk to the King and share thoughts on the Sea Cadets and on the Horizon Youth Space.

We all have to admit this is a once in a life time opportunity for the cadets and the unit to be able to meet a member of the Royal family.

Bravo Zulu to you and all the other cadet forces who attended the event.

✨ Volunteers' Week 2026 ✨

As Volunteers' Week comes around, we would like to take a moment to recognise and thank the incredible team of volunteers who make Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sea Cadets possible.

Our volunteers give up their time, skills, experience and energy to support young people in our community. From delivering training and running activities to organising events, maintaining equipment, completing administration and supporting behind the scenes, their dedication helps create opportunities that simply wouldn't exist without them.

Every achievement, adventure and memorable experience our cadets enjoy is made possible by volunteers who choose to give their time to help others.

Thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm and support. The positive impact you have on our cadets and our unit is truly invaluable.

Please join us in celebrating and thanking all volunteers during Volunteers' Week. 👏

A huge thank you to our incredible Cadets, our dedicated Volunteers, the UMT, and our ever‑supportive Parents, Donors, and wider community for joining us at tonight’s RNP.
Your commitment, encouragement and belief in our young people make all the difference. We are proud of every cadet who stood tall tonight, and grateful to every adult who helps keep our unit thriving.
A special thank you to the Dignitaries, District and Area Teams, and guests who took the time to attend and support our unit — your presence means a great deal to us.

A Huge Thank You to Pete Gribb & the Ancient Mariners! 🌟

Tonight our cadets were absolutely delighted to receive a surprise Easter treat, thanks to the kindness of Pete Gribb from the Ancient Mariners, who generously donated an Easter egg for every single young person in our unit.
