This week at oor Thursday and Friday clubs we had Glen at Heartstart Inverclyde and friends come and give us some training. We learned CPR, the proper use of a defibrillator and what to do with a nose bleed. Had some gold stars in each of the groups.
Everyone got their heartstart certificates

*Permission given from Tanya to post this piece about her.*

Tanya is a member of OOR CLUB on a Wednesday and a Friday she is very open about her experiences with her own mental health. An art workshop had been created in the The Wyllieum (where scotts is at the waterfront) run by fiona.

On a wednesday afternoon I had started taking Tanya until she had the confidence to go herself. At these workshops she was able to express herself and talk to like minded people.

There is an exhibition up just now with all their work. The Scottish mental health art festival where Tanya has 3 pieces on display. I couldn't be any prouder of her. I have known Tanya for over 10 years and this last year she has grown massively in confidence and self esteem.
