Kent Muslim Hands Continues to Support
Gravesham Families in Need

Kent Muslim Hands has successfully completed its third foodbank donation of the year to Gravesham Foodbank, furthering a meaningful partnership that has now spanned over a year of dedicated community service.

This latest contribution was made possible through the generous provisions of the Rapid Relief Team, whose support helps deliver vital food supplies to families facing hardship across United Kingdom regardless of faith or background.

The most recent donation included approximately 70kg of essential food items, providing much-needed relief to vulnerable local families during challenging times.

Gravesham Foodbank continues to depend on the consistent generosity of organisations like Kent Muslim Hands, which has become an invaluable part of its ongoing operations.

Our Chairman Mr Bilal Farooq, alongside Executives Adnan Khan and Shiyamin Mohamed, handed over the donation to foodbank representatives on behalf of the organisation.

Kent Muslim Hands remains firmly committed to sustaining and expanding this important community programme in the years ahead.

✨ Eid Mela 2026 – A Fantastic Community Celebration! ✨🌙

Alhamdulillah, Eid Mela 2026 was a tremendous success, attracting a large number of community members from across Gravesend. Local MP, Gravsham council members, Families, friends, and community members and leaders came together to enjoy a wonderful afternoon filled with fun, laughter, culture, and community spirit.

The event, organised in partnership by Kent Muslim Hands, Cohesion Plus, and Gravesend Skill Centre, featured funfair rides, family activities, delicious food stalls, cultural entertainment, shopping stalls, and beautiful mehndi art, creating lasting memories for people of all ages.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, as well as our volunteers, stallholders, sponsors, performers, and partner organisations whose support and dedication made the event possible.

This fantastic turnout reflects the strength, diversity, and unity of our community. We are grateful to Mr Bilal Farooq Chairman Kent Muslim Hands, Deputy Lieutenant representative the Lord Lieutenant Lady Colgrain Mr Gurvinder Sandher Cohesion Plus, and Mr Khawar Khursheed Gravesend Skill Centre for their collaboration in delivering such a successful event.

Thank you all for making Eid Mela 2026 a day to remember. We look forward to welcoming everyone again next year for an even bigger celebration!
