🦆 Chuck the Duck Has Made It Onto Our Lanyards! 😜 🦆

We’re absolutely delighted with our new Chamwell lanyards, complete with Chuck the Chamwell Duck, our much-loved mascot. 💙🦆💛

A big shout-out to Tony Bowden at Smart Communications SW Ltd who designed our fab lanyards and not only that supplied but he also donated pens, notepads and desk pen holders for use around the Centre.

The pen holders have been particularly popular with our café team, who are thrilled to finally have somewhere proper to keep their pens instead of relying on the traditional café storage system… a coffee mug! ☕😂

We’re incredibly grateful for Smart Communications’ support of The Chamwell Centre Charity and for helping us add a little extra duck-themed personality around the Centre.

Now the only question is… should Chuck the Chamwell Duck appear on even more things? 🦆😊

Yesterday the Chamwell Centre Charity Café was absolutely buzzing with meetings all day, including lots of BNI Cheltenham Chapter members having networking one-to-ones.
It was great to see so many people connecting in the relaxed, inclusive setting that is Chamwell.
Alongside this, our Children's Stay & Play session was taking place in the play area, with families and little ones enjoying the space too.
Business networking, community connections, and families coming together under one roof – it all just comes together at Chamwell. ☕ 🍰 🛜 🦆

🎶 Relaxed Concert for Families – A Wonderful Inclusive Event 🎶

We’re delighted to share details of an upcoming Relaxed Concert for Families from Cheltenham Feativals, specially designed for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, along with their families. 💛

This welcoming concert has been carefully created to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone, featuring:

✨ Live orchestral music in a relaxed environment
✨ Presenters using Makaton
✨ Informal seating with cushions, beanbags and rugs
✨ A quiet space for anyone who needs a break
✨ Freedom to move around, vocalise, sing, dance or participate in your own way
✨ Lighting kept on throughout the performance
✨ No sudden loud sounds, with advance warnings provided
✨ Excellent accessible facilities, including a fully equipped Mobiloo

🖊️ BREAKING NEWS: Zac Has Been Saved! 🖊️

A little while ago, we shared the tragic story of poor Zac on reception being forced to survive with only a couple of pencils after our pen supplies ran dry.

The response was incredible.

Pens arrived at reception.
Pens arrived through the post.
Pens appeared from desks, drawers, cupboards and glove boxes.

Thanks to the kindness of our community, the stationery crisis is officially over! 🎉😂

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our Emergency Pen Appeal, including:

What started as a light-hearted appeal became a wonderful reminder of just how supportive our community is.

As for Zac… we’re pleased to report that he has now returned to a life of luxury and no longer needs to rely on pencils. 😄

🖊️ A Huge Thank You to Lee Summers Elmrep B Corp. ! 🖊️

When we launched our Emergency Pen Appeal, we hoped a few spare pens might find their way to The Chamwell Centre…

We certainly weren’t expecting the fantastic support we received from Lee and the team at Elmrep!

Not only did they generously donate a huge supply of pens to help keep our reception, café and office running smoothly, but they also provided drinks bottles that we’re delighted to give to our young volunteers as a thank you for the amazing contribution they make to our charity.

Our volunteers play a vital role at The Chamwell Centre, and it’s lovely to be able to pass on gifts like these to recognise the time, energy and enthusiasm they bring to our community.

It’s often the practical things that make the biggest difference, and support like this helps us direct more of our resources towards the children, adults and families who rely on our services.

A huge thank you to Lee and everyone at Elmrep for your generosity, kindness and support. We really do appreciate it. 💙

🦆 We're Delighted to Welcome Redbridge and Son’s as Sponsor of Our Gloucestershire Duck Trail! 🦆

A huge thank you to Redbridge & Sons Property Services for coming on board as sponsor of our Duck Design & Build – Gloucestershire Duck Trail 2026.

This exciting community event will see businesses, charities and community groups from across Gloucestershire designing and building their own unique ducks, which will then form part of a public trail this August.

Support from local businesses like Redbridge & Sons helps us bring events like this to life, creating something fun, creative and engaging for our community while raising awareness of The Chamwell Centre Charity.

When the team from Redbridge & Sons recently came to visit us to discuss the event, they arrived with something else too... boxes and boxes of pens! 🖊️😂

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Jamie 🌟

If you’ve visited our café on a Saturday, chances are you’ve met Jamie! 💙

Jamie is one of our fantastic volunteers and brings so much fun, energy and laughter to the Chamwell team. He’s always happy to help and is never short of a conversation – in fact, you could definitely describe Jamie as a bit of a chatterbox! 😄

A familiar face in the café, Jamie loves meeting people, having a chat and helping to create the warm and friendly atmosphere that makes Chamwell such a special place.

We’re so grateful for everything Jamie brings to our volunteer team and the smiles he puts on the faces of everyone he meets.

Our Ben is taking on the Gloucester 10K to raise funds for The Chamwell Centre Charity! 💙

Many of you will know Ben from our café, where he is a valued volunteer and team member. Ben first came to us through The Milestone School for supported work experience and has stayed with us ever since.

Taking on a 10K is such a big thing, and we’re incredibly proud of Ben for setting himself this challenge and raising money for The Chamwell Centre Charity.
