In Dundee, Pamela - who we support in our Tullideph service - was recently asked if she would like to participate in a line dance as part of "Catwalk for a Cause" - a Western-themed show run by Hillcrest FB, aiming to raise funds for community groups. Pamela had a great time participating.

The people we support at TouchBase Lanarkshire had a very welcome visit from Amy’s Animal Adventures recently. They absolutely loved petting the variety of animals that came along!

Our Groups service at TouchBase Glasgow enjoyed a wonderful 'pub quiz' this week, which was enjoyed by everyone! Questions on general knowledge, TV and film, sport, and guess the staff member (from baby photos) were asked.

Special mentions go to Chloe for putting the quiz together, Ben for being our doorman for the day, and Rachel, who acted as barmaid. The day was a great success.

Inclusion Scotland is inviting disabled people across Scotland to take part in their Council Election Priorities Survey.

Local councils make decisions about many of the services that affect our daily lives, from housing and transport to social care support, education, leisure facilities and public spaces. With Scottish local council elections taking place in 2027, Inclusion Scotland wants to make sure disabled people’s priorities are heard loud and clear.

The survey will help Inclusion Scotland create their Manifesto for Inclusion, which will set out the changes disabled people want to see from local councils across Scotland. They will share this manifesto with council candidates ahead of the elections and use it to influence local decision-making.

Every day, local councils make decisions that affect disabled people's lives, from housing and transport to social care support, education, parks, leisure facilities and public services.

Too often, disabled people's views are missing from these conversations.
That's why we're asking disabled people across Scotland to complete our Council Election Priorities Survey.

Your responses will help shape Inclusion Scotland's Manifesto for Inclusion ahead of the 2027 local council elections. This is our opportunity to tell council candidates what disabled people want to see change in their communities and why those changes matter.

The more people who take part, the stronger our message will be.
