This Volunteers’ Week, we’re sending a huge thank you to all our amazing volunteer intergenerational community connectors for the time, care and commitment you give to raising awareness of intergenerational practice and supporting projects in your local communities. Here, some of our wonderful volunteers – Lesley, Lorraine and Bellann – are enjoying a well-deserved cuppa in their new mugs as we celebrate the difference volunteers make every day. Thank you to every volunteer who helps deliver intergenerational projects and creates meaningful connections between generations across our communities.

A lovely visit to Jedburgh Grammar Campus this week with our volunteer community connector for the Scottish Borders, Lorraine. We had the chance to join an inspiring intergenerational gardening session led by volunteers Audrey and Stephen with a fantastic group of Primary 4 pupils.
From making wildflower seed bombs to decorating biscuits with edible flowers, it was wonderful to see the knowledge, skills and friendships growing across generations.
A huge thank you to Sara Lambard and Jedburgh Grammar for such a warm welcome – we loved visiting and hope to be back again soon. A special shout out as well to Audrey, Stephen and our own volunteer Lorraine. During Volunteers’ Week, it’s a wonderful time to celebrate the incredible difference volunteers continue to make in our communities every day.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Scottish Borders Network Meeting in Peebles. It was a fantastic morning of connection, collaboration and shared learning around intergenerational work.
It was inspiring to hear about the many projects happening across local communities in the Borders, and the positive impact they are having on both older and younger generations.
A special thank you to our volunteer Intergenerational Community Connector, Lorraine Anderson, for all she does to support GWT. It was wonderful to see her and celebrate her contribution during Volunteers’ Week 😊

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Tayside Intergenerational Network Meeting in Perth last Thursday. It was an afternoon of connection, conversation and collaboration, with inspiring updates on both current and future intergenerational projects happening across the area. It was especially encouraging to hear about the positive difference these initiatives are making for both older and younger people in our communities. Special thanks to Perth Citizens Advice Bureau for hosting us and providing lovely refreshments.
