To celebrate the incredible work volunteers carry out in our community, Specsavers Tiverton are offering free OCT scans to all volunteers who make an appointment to have their eyes tested throughout June.👏🏼

How to Claim: Volunteers just need to book in for an eye test, mention who they volunteer for and take some form of ID (such as a badge) to their appointment.

Want to help shape the future of accessible film? 🎬🎧

The Enhancing Audio Description team at the University of York is wrapping up years of groundbreaking research into 3D sound, sound design, and first-person narration. They’ve created a format that allows visually impaired, and sighted loved ones, to enjoy films together!! 🤗

They are asking people with lived experience to complete an online questionnaire to provide constructive feedback.

👀 Who they are looking for: Screen-reader/accessibility users, friends & family, and creative industry professionals.
🎧 What they are wanting: Listen to a short film using your headphones (links to these films are available when you open the questionnaire). You will then be asked to complete a short, anonymous questionnaire (approx. 10–30 mins total, depending on the film you choose to watch).

Your voice matters. Let's help them finish this project with a bang!💥
