Epsom Riding for the Disabled Association

Epsom Riding for the Disabled Association Our aim is to provide disabled people with the opportunity to ride to benefit their health and well being.

Epsom Riding for the Disabled Association (Epsom RDA) was formed in 1969 with one Shetland pony called Bubbles and four volunteers. In 2005 we purchased St Ebbas' Farm securing our future. This has enabled us to develop facilities dedicated to providing disabled people with the opportunity to ride to benefit their health and well-being We provide over 3,000 riding lessons exclusively for 350 disa

bled adults and children. Epsom RDA is entirely run and managed by volunteers. We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisationy (charity number 1180061) and a member group of the National Riding For The Disabled Association (registered charity No 244108).

🐎MEET THE HERD!🐎
This month, we'd like to introduce you to GRIFFIN, a 15hh grey cob. He was born in 2006, and joined us in the Spring of 2023.
His kind and laid-back personality makes him an ideal horse for our nervous or beginner riders. He really enjoys his work and is happy being led or working with independent riders. He's completely unfazed by our noisy RDA games.
You can help support our vital work by sponsoring Griffin for just £35 for the year. Just click the link here: https://www.epsomrda.org.uk/sponsor-a-pony/
More details on other ways you can support us can be found on our website: www.epsomrda.org.uk

🌟 SAVE THE DATE!🌟
We are thrilled that, after the success of her last demo, Sarah Sjoholm-Patience will be returning with another ridden lecture/demo for us on SUNDAY 5th JULY 2026 from 2.30pm.
Accompanied by the beautiful Hillgrounds Uleena she will demonstrate the training they are currently working on and explain how she applies performance profiling and goal setting in her training.
Sarah's aim is that you'll leave inspired and with some tips on how to use those sports psychology tools to help you train more effectively with your horse, regardless of your goals or level. It's suitable for riders and coaches!
Tickets are available to book through our website: https://www.epsomrda.org.uk/event/riding-goals-with-sarah-sjoholm-patience-5/

Last month a couple of volunteers from the Fundraising team attended . Despite the rather cold, blustery weather (yes, our gazebo nearly blew away!) we had a fabulous day. Merton Dog Watch is a non-profit event and all the profits are donated to charities that attend. We were thrilled to receive their recent donation and are already looking forward to the event next year!
