Yesterday, on what would have been Jay’s 63rd birthday, a few of us made our way into the familiar, breathtaking Welsh mountains that he loved so much.

As we walked, there were stories, laughter, tears and so many memories. With every step, we thought of him and it felt as though he was walking alongside us, just as he had so many times before, sharing with us a place that brought him so much peace and happiness.

We love and miss you more than words can ever say Jay. But yesterday, we walked for you, talked about you, laughed because of you, and carried your memory with us. Forever walking beside us - we know we never walk alone 💜. Happy 63rd birthday Jay 💜

A heartfelt thank you to the oncology teams across hospitals in England and Wales who continue to refer their patients and families to The Jay C Trust. Your trust in us means more than you know. And to the families and friends of patients who have found their way to us — thank you for reaching out and allowing us to support you through what can be an incredibly difficult journey. Every referral, every recommendation and every connection helps us reach another family affected by glioblastoma.

For the past few months, Lynette Turtle, together with friends from Carmarthenshire and her wonderful school friends from Wiltshire, have been fundraising for The Jay C Trust and we are so grateful for their support!

From community coffee mornings at Bethlehem Newydd Chapel and Coomb Mansion in Llangynog - featuring delicious home-baked cakes, generously donated raffle prizes, and sales of beautiful, handcrafted items made by friends – to nurturing a stunning array of plants from seed, Lynette brought people together through her creativity, generosity, and passion for gardening.

Her dedication and hard work have not only raised valuable funds but have also created a strong sense of community, and we are truly thankful for everything she and her supporters have done for us.

What began with a grant application submitted by one of Lynette’s friends, has grown into something truly special. Their dedication and generosity have given back to us in more ways than we can express💜.

Lynette and friends have raised an incredible £3000 plus!! This amazing achievement will fund six grants, making a real difference to six families when they need it most.

To Lynette and everyone involved, thank you for your kindness, hard work, and belief in what we do. Your support means the world to us, and we are deeply appreciative of everything you have done for The Jay C Trust!💜. The ‘Kindness of Strangers’ never ceases to amaze us!

What an incredible evening at our third Race Night, brilliantly organised by tomwillixms and his amazing family who truly outdid themselves once again! It was wonderful to see family and friends, old and new, come together in support of our cause. The room was filled with love, laughter, energy, and enthusiasm, as our loyal supporters enjoyed a fantastic night out - all in aid of our charity, The Jay C Trust 💜. A huge shout out to our talented friend Julia, who went above and beyond once again, putting on a scrumptious selection of homemade savouries and sweet treats thoroughly enjoyed by all. A big thank you also to St John’s Church in Stoneleigh for warmly welcoming us once again.

We’re delighted to share that we raised an amazing £2,318 on the night. Through our £500 one-off grants, we’ll be able to support five families, making a real and meaningful difference where it’s needed most.

We are truly humbled by the incredible spirit of our community and deeply grateful to everyone who helped make the evening so memorable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💜.

She did it!! 🏃🏽‍♀️🥉👏. Congratulations to Maria on completing the yesterday!👏. Maria joined the thousands who were running and had their own inspiring stories to tell💜. We commend her and every single one of them! 💜. There is still time to donate to Maria’s fundraiser page and help her support more families facing the heartbreak of a Glioblastoma diagnosis. Every contribution no matter how small can make a difference during such an incredible journey.
