20schemes bringing the light of the gospel to Scotland's schemes through church planting and revitalisation

Our long term desire is to see Scotland’s housing schemes transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ through the planting of gospel-preaching churches, ultimately led by a future generation of indigenous church leaders. To that end we will initiate a church planting and revitalization effort by recruiting, training, supporting and sending church planters, female outreach workers, ministry apprentic

es and short term interns to work as part of church planting teams within Scotland’s housing schemes. We believe that building healthy, gospel preaching churches in Scotland’s poorest communities will bring true, sustainable and long-term renewal to Scotland’s schemes.

Jason Cruickshank grew up in Niddrie, Edinburgh. He had heard the gospel many times through Niddrie Community Church and from his sister, who was saved through the outreach of Niddrie Church.

That seed has now sprouted, and he has been given new life. Jason now serves as an intern at Grace Church Orkney with Director, Mez McConnell.

His story is only possible because there is a healthy church preaching the gospel. And he can only be discipled as an intern because of the generous support of people like you.

Jason featured in our 2025 STORY film, highlighting 20schemes’ efforts throughout the Orkney Islands (watch on YouTube).

The gospel is still the power of God for salvation.

This is why Indigenous Workers matter, especially in Scotland’s schemes and rural areas. Men and women who are raised and saved in these communities, and who now serve their neighbors with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please pray for Scotland’s schemes, and consider giving as we seek to raise $100,000 to support Indigenous Workers.

Lorna serves as the children and youth worker, reaching children and teens each week with the hope of the gospel.

This is what Indigenous Workers look like. Men and women raised in these communities, saved in these communities, and now serving their neighbours with the love of Christ.

Meet Lorna from Baillieston Community Church in Glasgow. Lorna grew up around church but did not truly know Jesus until later in life. Today, she serves as the children's and youth worker in Baillieston, a community with thousands of children and hundreds who have never heard the gospel.

This is what Indigenous Workers look like. Men and women raised and saved in their local communities, who then serve and reach their neighbors with the life-changing gospel of Jesus.

Pray for Baillieston, and help us raise $100,000 in support of 20schemes Indigenous Workers.
