20schemes bringing the light of the gospel to Scotland's schemes through church planting and revitalisation

Our long term desire is to see Scotland’s housing schemes transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ through the planting of gospel-preaching churches, ultimately led by a future generation of indigenous church leaders. To that end we will initiate a church planting and revitalization effort by recruiting, training, supporting and sending church planters, female outreach workers, ministry apprentices and short term interns to work as part of church planting teams within Scotland’s housing schemes. We believe that building healthy, gospel preaching churches in Scotland’s poorest communities will bring true, sustainable and long-term renewal to Scotland’s schemes.

When we’re interrupted…
When we’re exhausted…
When our plans are spoiled…

Why?

Because serving is easier when it happens on our own terms.
But submission means serving when it’s uncomfortable and inconvenient… When something we want, has to take a back seat…

When it comes to our preferences, our privileges & our priorities – are we willing to surrender, and serve and submit for the sake of others?

Paul says this is the attitude that should characterise redeemed people in their relationships with one another – patterned after Jesus who stooped to serve for the sake of lifting others up…
At great cost to himself… all the way to the cross…

The person who has submitted to Christ should increasingly become someone who doesn't always need to get their own way – and whose greater desire is the good and growth of other believers… even at your own cost."
