What a great day at the Kiltwalk on Sunday! 💚

Kiltwalk 2026 - We're Ready to Go! 🥾

This Sunday, 13 September, our team and volunteers will be pulling on their walking shoes and taking part in the Kiltwalk!

We're incredibly grateful to everyone taking part and supporting us. Every donation helps us continue providing practical support to people living with and affected by HIV and Hepatitis C, including transport services, befriending, study support, and much more.

Something lovely came through the letterbox today!

We were delighted to receive copies of Grace, Gigi and HIV from CHIVA, a charity supporting children and young people growing up with HIV, and their families.

At Positive Help, we support children and families affected by HIV across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Alongside our staff team, dedicated volunteers spend time with children and young people, helping them build confidence, resilience and positive relationships through regular activities and support.

Resources like this can help children understand HIV in an age-appropriate way and give families confidence to start important conversations.

A big thank you to Chiva Projects for sharing these with us. We're looking forward to using them with the children, families and volunteers we support.

Building trusted relationships is at the heart of what we do!

Before our volunteers meet the young people they support, we invite both to create a little "About Me" poster.

It's a simple but effective way to break the ice, discover shared interests, and make that first meeting feel a little less daunting. From favourite foods and hobbies to beloved films and places, every poster is unique and often sparks the very first conversation.

Those early conversations help lay the foundations for the trusting, supportive relationships that make such a difference to young people.

📞 Our phone lines are back up and running!

Thank you for your patience this morning while we resolved a temporary issue with our phone lines.

We work hard to make sure we're easy to contact, so even with our phone lines temporarily unavailable, the people we support and volunteers were still able to reach us using the other ways we keep in touch.

Being easy to contact is really important to us because we know everyone has different communication preferences. As well as by phone, you can also get in touch:
