You may remember that this time last year, we opened our newly located Number Twenty...
This is our supported home environment for young women who have experienced homelessness.
The concept is built around creating a genuinely beautiful space where our young women feel at home, offering a stable environment after difficult early experiences.
Seeing these young women grow over the past year and watching Number Twenty become a true home has been wonderful for our team.
Over the past year, we have worked alongside 23 young women, being there for them as they navigate school, start college, step into new jobs or training, and eventually move on to independent living.
Life here is full of shared moments. Our kitchen is often busy with pasta nights, pizza making, and the residents' absolute favourite: crepe nights.
There have also been some great days out together, from trips to the zoo, the Alpine Coaster, and Jupiter Art Land, to DJ sessions right here in the building. These trips build confidence and inject shared moments of happiness into these young women's lives.
We are also lucky to have many creative young women living here who have made amazing artwork over the past year.
The last year has been amazing. Important memories have been made, and our team say that it has been a pleasure working with all these amazing women.
None of this would be possible without the ongoing support of everyone who donates and shops at EFI, visits our cafe, and supports our charity. Thank you for helping us make this first year so special.
