At this time of year, Edinburgh welcomes students from across the UK and around the world to start or continue their studies in our city.

We have a wide range of affordable items suited for students, from study furniture to small appliances (all safety-checked).

This week alone, we've had plenty of students in store, delighted by what they can get on their budget. We all remember those early days of setting up a first home away from home.

That is where you come in. Please have a declutter and drop off anything we can resell in store. Lamps, chairs, crockery - if it is still in good condition, we'll take it!

In doing so, you are helping a student settle in and generating vital funds for our Four Square homeless services.

Keymoves is our beautiful refuge for women aged 16+ who have experienced gender-based violence.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Domestic Abuse and Gender-Based Violence Practitioner with a focus on individuals experiencing homelessness.

Minimum qualification of SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or at least 2 years of relevant experience in a social care setting.

As you can see from our photos... yes, dogs are very welcome at EFI! 🐾

We love meeting your pups while you browse our Gorgie Road showroom. As long as your dog is comfortable around other shoppers and furniture displays, they are more than welcome to join you.

Visiting with your dog:

On arrival: On-site parking makes drop-ins easy, and our team is always happy to say hello!

When you buy pre-loved furniture or donate items to EFI, you are directly supporting Four Square, an Edinburgh charity that supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Every sale helps fund:

🏠Safe accommodation for young people and women fleeing domestic abuse.

💡Community-based housing advice and practical support.

🎓Mentoring for young people to get them into good jobs or training.

By shopping or donating, you keep usable furniture out of landfill while funding vital local services right here in Edinburgh.👍
