Business Spotlight

This month we’re shining a light on the fantastic team at JCDecaux

For the past few years, JCDecaux has generously supported Street Assist Edinburgh through advertising campaigns across the city, helping us raise awareness of our work and reach more people than ever before. Earlier this year, they helped celebrate our 10th Anniversary with prominent city centre advertising, as well as supporting our current Edinburgh Summer City Campaign, ensuring our message was seen by residents and visitors alike during the summer months.

Their support goes far beyond providing advertising space. The team has taken the time to join us on delivery nights, meeting our volunteers firsthand and seeing the impact that their support has on those we help across Edinburgh's night-time economy. Having partners who genuinely want to understand our work and the difference it makes is incredibly valuable to us.

We are proud of the partnership we've built together, and earlier this year were delighted to be recognised through a nomination for the Partnership Award at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Awards.

Working with JCDecaux has helped us amplify our message, raise awareness of the support available, and ultimately reach more people when they need us most.

Thank you to everyone at JCDecaux for your continued support, enthusiasm and commitment to helping make Edinburgh a safer city at night. We look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.

We’re so excited that our 10th anniversary documentary will be shown at next weeks’s NightPiece Film festival as part of the Fringe - check out the interview below to find out more!

Filmed across Edinburgh city centre during live night shifts, the film focuses on real situations, volunteers, and their impact on the streets.

Over the weekend our volunteers tests helped 120 people across Edinburgh. From providing first aid and welfare support to helping people get home safely, our volunteers were there when they were needed most.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports and helps make Edinburgh’s nights safer.

If you need our help or assistance, give our wonderful volunteers at base a ring on 07708 351 200 or speak to our volunteers on the streets. This summer, Street Assist Edinburgh is all across the city!

Thanks to the incredible support of JCDecaux UK , our summer advertising campaign is now live — with two months of advertising support every Friday and Saturday, helping us promote safety, raise awareness and make more people aware of the work our Street Assist teams do across Edinburgh.

And this year is extra special… for the first time, we’re featured inside Waverley Station! 🚉

You’ll also spot Street Assist Edinburgh across the city centre on roadsides, bus stops and digital screens, all operated by JCDecaux.

The campaign forms part of our contribution to Edinburgh’s Summer City planning, supporting the Fringe, student intake weeks and the many other major events that make Edinburgh one of the busiest cities on the UK at this time of year.

For us, this isn’t just about advertising. It’s about making sure people know where we are, what we do and how we can help keep people safe when they’re out enjoying everything Edinburgh has to offer.

A WEEKEND OF FIRSTS ✨ 🚨
1) our volunteers met graham norton out and about on patrol
2) we dealt with a record breaking 140 jobs during the first official weekend of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
3) we saw our new adverts across the city centre including inside Waverley Station in partnership with JCDecaux UK

At this time of year in the city, the work of our volunteers is invaluable - supporting every city and festival-goer to enjoy their evenings in our city safely. This means anything from directions to accommodation and travel hubs, charging people’s phones all the way through to emergency first aid intervention. The support of everyone who donates or who provides support in other ways goes a huge way to keeping our charity going. So a huge thank you!
