If you want to get out and about, and escape the rain, our Connection Through Creativity group sounds like the perfect place for you! Wednesday 12:30-2:30pm at Calderwood Baptist Church and Thursdays 10:30am-12:30pm at Greenhills Parish Church.

Friday 28th August 2026 📖📚, a wonderful wee afternoon at Book Group today, our usual catch-up and discussing our latest read 📖

Our Book for August was Graffiti Girls written by Elissa Soave. Our group enjoyed this book by the majority, only 2 readers did not enjoy this book.
It is very much a book from a Woman's perspective, seeing how navigating life in your 40's can be!!!
It's a book 📖 with lighthearted humour, feminism, trials and tribulations of life, there's 4 main characters which the book allows you to see who they all are and what hand life has dealt them!!!!, it's a great story of friendship, having those good bunch of people around who just get you - even if they get to you too at times!!!
As the story was set in Hamilton, and surrounding areas, it helped to set the scenes and was nice to have a book 📖 set in our home town of South Lanarkshire 🙌
We would definitely recommend the Graffiti Girls as a book to read 📚, our readers scored this book 4.5_5 ⭐️😊

Our Book for September is The Homemade God, written by Rachel Joyce. We have a few readers looking forward to this one!! As it sounds to be a bit of a thought-provoking book.

Our next in person meet-up will be on Friday 25th September 2026, 1.15pm at our reserved tables within the Central Library (Town Centre).

Hey Everyone! 😊 How's your week going so far? I find that as the weather changes and the days are beginning to get that wee bit shorter, a bit of a reset is sometimes needed! ☀
