Friday 28th August 2026 ππ, a wonderful wee afternoon at Book Group today, our usual catch-up and discussing our latest read π
Our Book for August was Graffiti Girls written by Elissa Soave. Our group enjoyed this book by the majority, only 2 readers did not enjoy this book.
It is very much a book from a Woman's perspective, seeing how navigating life in your 40's can be!!!
It's a book π with lighthearted humour, feminism, trials and tribulations of life, there's 4 main characters which the book allows you to see who they all are and what hand life has dealt them!!!!, it's a great story of friendship, having those good bunch of people around who just get you - even if they get to you too at times!!!
As the story was set in Hamilton, and surrounding areas, it helped to set the scenes and was nice to have a book π set in our home town of South Lanarkshire π
We would definitely recommend the Graffiti Girls as a book to read π, our readers scored this book 4.5_5 βοΈπ
Our Book for September is The Homemade God, written by Rachel Joyce. We have a few readers looking forward to this one!! As it sounds to be a bit of a thought-provoking book.
Our next in person meet-up will be on Friday 25th September 2026, 1.15pm at our reserved tables within the Central Library (Town Centre).
Enjoy reading π folks and loom forward to seeing you All soon π
