Kilbryde Hospice Community Choir: Our community choir is open to everyone and no singing experience is required. We are a friendly choir that meets at the hospice every Wednesday at 2pm until 3pm.

We take time to relax and warm up then sing a selection of well known, and not so well known songs; expect pop songs, folk songs, sea shanties and more!

Our community choir is all about your health and wellbeing and is directed by our music therapist Anna. Anna has trained as a Singing for Lung Health leader and a Sing to Beat Parkinson’s leader and has been running our choir for almost 10 years now.

It is the heart and soul of the hospice on a Wednesday afternoon, with voices ringing out across the building.

If you are unable to join us in person, you can request a Zoom link to join us online.
Here are some of the lovely things people have said about the choir over the years:

“I love singing new and old songs. I hadn't realised how much pleasure it gave me and it takes me away from the stresses at home.”

“Thank you for the laughter and crazy warmups and the wonderful singing.”

“It’s a very friendly atmosphere and I hope newcomers feel that they are welcome.”

“It gives me so many health benefits. I have COPD and physically the singing and the exercises for breathing have strengthened my lungs. I can breathe so much more easily.”

“My mental health through the community spirit and support everyone gives has benefited immensely.”

“Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly.”

You can just turn up and sing or, for further information please contact the hospice on 01355 202020 and select option 3.

💜 Carers Week 2026 | Building Carer-Friendly Communities 💜

Hospice care is not just about care at the end of life; it is about strengthening the networks of support around people, families and carers throughout their journey.

This Carers Week, we recognise and celebrate the invaluable contribution of unpaid carers across South Lanarkshire.

Every day, carers provide comfort, support, advocacy and love to those closest to them. Their contribution often goes unseen, but its impact is immeasurable.

At Kilbryde Hospice, through our Compassionate Communities approach, we believe that building carer-friendly communities means ensuring carers feel recognised, valued, connected and supported.

Together, we can create communities where nobody has to care alone.

To every carer – thank you for all that you do. 💜

We are very proud to work with the Country’s leading lottery for hospices. The Lottery is a hospice owned collaboration and through hospices working together and sharing one prize fund and one set of costs, our hospice is able to receive MORE from your £1 entries than we would from running our own lottery.

The Lottery is hospice led, has hospice care at its heart and returns ALL profits to hospice care. Thank you so much to everyone who supports us in this way!

The regular and reliable income the Lottery provides plays a vital role
in helping us to keep delivering our essential hospice care in the local
community.
