It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Archie Dryburgh, a devoted and highly respected member of Royal British Legion Scotland.

Archie was a true stalwart of the Legion and dedicated many years of service to supporting veterans, serving personnel, and their families. In his role as Area Secretary for the Glasgow, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway Area, he worked tirelessly on behalf of our members, always offering his time, guidance, and unwavering commitment to the Legion's values.

After a long and bravely fought battle with cancer, Archie passed away peacefully yesterday surrounded by his immediate family, he displayed the same courage, determination, and strength of character that so many of us came to admire and respect.

Archie's contribution to the Legion and the veteran community cannot be overstated. His friendship, dedication, and support touched the lives of countless people, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

At this difficult and very sad time, our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with Archie's family, friends, and loved ones. We hope they find comfort in knowing the immense regard and affection in which he was held across the Legion family.

Rest in peace, Archie. Your service, commitment, and friendship will never be forgotten.
