We did it Move forward movement FC won South Lanarkshire charity football cup thanks to the team 😀
From a young boy who left home at the age of 17 in search of a better life and greater opportunities, my journey has been one of resilience, sacrifice, and transformation.
I began as a barber in Lagos Nigeria , driven by a hunger for growth and a belief that life held more. That journey took me across several countries in Africa, facing uncertainty, rejection, and countless failed opportunities all in pursuit of reaching Europe and building a better future.
At the age of 23, I arrived in the UK with very little formal education but a determination to change my life. I embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships. I went on to attend university, broaden my knowledge, and develop the mindset needed to create lasting impact.
But my greatest challenge was internal.
I faced seasons of depression, anxiety, isolation, and the pain of a failed marriage. There were moments when life could have consumed me through despair, alcohol, or destructive choices.
Instead, I made a decision.
I chose change.
Through intentional self-development reading books, listening to positive messages, and developing a growth mindset one day at a time I rebuilt myself from the inside out.
That transformation gave birth to Move Forward Movement.
Today, Move Forward Movement is empowering lives through mental wellbeing support, mentoring, coaching, education, and community connection. We have built a thriving football team that won the South Lanarkshire Football Charity Cup, launched an education academy, and created safe spaces where people can grow in confidence and purpose.
This is only the beginning.
Move Forward Movement is not local it is global in vision and impact.
Because my story proves one truth:
When I changed, things changed.
And through Move Forward Movement, we help others do the same.
We Change, Things Change.
