🏆🏃‍♂️ SPORTS DAY! 🏃‍♀️🏆

Today, Captain Jamie and Sam were out in the sunshine cheering on our young people at Sandbank Primary School's Sports Day! It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces, great sportsmanship, and determination on display.

On behalf of the whole Leadership Team and the 1st Cowal family, we wish everyone taking part in Sports Days this week and next the absolute best of luck! You've got this! 🙌🌟

We can't wait to see all of our young people back for another fantastic evening of fun, games, and activities!

Here is a quick reminder of our Wednesday night section times so you don't miss a minute:

ANCHORS (5 to 8 years old)
⏰ 5:30pm to 6:30pm

JUNIORS (8 to 11 years old)
⏰ 6:45pm to 7:45pm

COMPANY & SENIORS (11 to 18 years old)
⏰ 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Looking for a fantastic, relaxed Friday evening with the family? We invite you to join us, Cowal Kirk and EXP Youthwork for an evening of fantastic food, great company, and community fellowship!

Whether you are already part of the Cowal Kirk family or completely new to the area, everyone is warmly welcome.

📍 Where: High Kirk Hall, Hanover Street, Dunoon

⏰ When: 4:30pm to 6:30pm

💰 Cost: Entirely FREE entry—and even better, the pizza is completely FREE!

✨ What to expect: An open, inclusive space built on friendship and fellowship.

🏆 Celebrating Our Young People! 🏆

The countdown is on!

We are incredibly proud of everything our members have achieved this session, and it’s almost time to recognize their hard work, dedication, and achievements.

Please join the 1st Cowal Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association for our annual Awards Night!

Where: St John’s Church, Dunoon

Who: All family, friends, and the wider community are warmly welcome!

If you’re picking up one child and dropping another, that’s absolutely fine. We just ask older ones to sit quietly and chat amongst themselves during the 15-minute gap while leaders set up.

😄 Happy Thursday everybody!

We would like to apologise to parents for any mysterious residue that may have appeared on car seats, clothes, shoes, bags… or carpets after last night’s BB session involving Oobleck 🤭🌀

Actually… we don’t 😜
The kids had an absolute blast doing something a little different, getting hands‑on (very hands‑on!) and learning how being gentle can make a big difference in our daily lives. Science, fun and life lessons — all slightly messy, but totally worth it 💙

There is NO BB next week (6th May)
✅ We’ll be back as usual on 13th May

£1 per child, per week.
Payable by direct debit (our preferred method) or cash on the night – please make sure your young person brings this along.
