I (Jack) wanted to share with you all the amazing things we have been seeing at eXp over the last few months!
I haven't updated everyone in a while and realised unless I share some of the amazing things we have been doing how will anyone know what to pray for and how to help us as we move forward.
Summer camp was fantastic this year. We had 24 young people on Arran for a week of activities, camp fires, hang outs chats and so much more. Most importantly to me I was able to share with our young people about how we can walk with God to unexpected places, a journey through a life of faith and trusting in God.
As the week went on I unpacked each night the basics of the Christian life from, belief, to prayer, to reading the bible and finally what it looks like to be a christian.
I tasked some of our young leaders to come prepared for the evening d-groups to chat over what we spoke about that night. One of the nights we held a bible study on John 15 and I had asked everyone to read this before camp and come prepared with thoughts. One young leader had read this for weeks and had come with a lot of notes and thoughts, this was someone in third year in school. To say I was delighted is an understatement. I was absolutely thrilled. They shared their thoughts and insights and really helped to spur on amazing conversations in their group.
On the final night I asked the young people if they wanted to walk with God in their own lives. Out of the 24 young people 10 decided on that night to follow Jesus.
Talking with the young people we decided to start a discipleship group, to read the bible together and learn more about God. 12 young people have committed to meet weekly to do this.
To encourage our young people we have been heading over the water every few months to different Christian youth events like Magnitude, C7 Youth, Ember Night and Revelation Room. There have been 8-12 young people coming to these events and have come home excited, encouraged and stirred up to pursue their faith more.
If you love Jesus please pray over our young people that they would continue in their faith and pray protection over them.
