GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

This Sunday, as part of the Dundee Book Festival, we're running a workshop in partnership with Southbank Centre as part of the Poet In Every Port project!

This is aimed at LGBTQ+ poets in Dundee and a chance to learn more about the project, write and take part.

Free but limited space, DM if you want to come along 💜

Tomorrow's improv workshop is part of Dundee Play Festival and features improv legend STEVE WORSLEY!

Steve Worsley was a founding member of the award winning improv troupe Men With Coconuts, and as a voice artist has narrated over 70 audiobooks for best-selling authors such as Stuart MacBride and Peter May. Steve has been improvising for 15 years now, and to this day it’s still his favourite form of performance.

Come along to learn new improv techniques or just have fun. No experience needed!

It's been a year since we started Un-Hushed.

When we started we got funding for a year, which means I now have to write a report on whether it was "successful".

How do you measure the success of a q***r poetry night? I have no idea. No one does.

But it's probably something to do with the people I connected with through these nights, so I'm gonna talk about some of them.

First is Jenny. I met her about a year ago and she mentioned she'd read her poetry once. I've since seen her read at dozens of nights, including at a zine launch in Glasgow where we were published together. She's brilliant and getting better all the time, and I'm so proud of her.

Yesterday she made me download Finch, an app where a cartoon penguin gets gifts when I brush my teeth, and the app confirmed we're friends.

I have no idea how to explain this to a funder.
