Dundee's young people face some of the toughest challenges of any generation: Covid-19 has massively disrupted their education, decimated their employment prospects, and heightened mental health difficulties. Those who were already marginalised or disadvantaged have been hit the hardest. Dundee has a range of grass roots youth work organisations who have the skills, experience, and trust to make a
difference with young people. We formed Dundee Youth Work Network (DYWN) to connect, support each other, and collaborate to make the biggest difference for the most young people. These charities are facing tough times too and really need your support through this campaign. Your support will sustain individual support focused on young people's needs and ambitions, group work that creates opportunities to learn and develop skills and confidence, connections into their city to make a difference, and so much more. We invite you to join our fundraising activities from 28th August - 11th September and help us raise money that will make a difference. Some people are planning to work 29 miles; some are going to do 29,000 keepy-uppies; make 29 films, songs, and pictures... what could you do? Sign up as a fundraiser here... If you would like to chat about ideas then contact us. This campaign is administered by Hot Chocolate Trust, a local youth work charity and DYWN member, on behalf of the Network. The proceeds will be divided equitably between the charity members of DYWN:
Action for Children
Dundee & Angus ADHD Support Group
Dundee Carers Centre
Feeling Strong
Helm
Hot Chocolate Trust
LGBT Youth Scotland (Tayside)
Rock Solid
Showcase the Street
The Attic
Two members of DYWN will not receive funds from this campaign because they are not registered as charities: Dundee City Council CLD Teams, and The Corner.
