💜 Volunteers’ Week 2026 💜

As Service Director of Dundee Women’s Aid, I want to take this opportunity to personally thank our incredible volunteers.

Volunteers are an essential part of our organisation. They generously give their time, skills, energy, and compassion to support the women, children, and young people who access our services. Their commitment helps us extend our reach and strengthen the support we provide across our community.

Every volunteer brings something unique, and together they make a meaningful difference every day. Their dedication, kindness, and belief in our work never go unnoticed.

On behalf of everyone at Dundee Women’s Aid, thank you for all that you do. We are proud to work alongside you and grateful for the impact you have on the lives of so many.

Happy Volunteers’ Week! 💜

Dundee Women‘s Aid are raising £750 for a memorial bench in loving memory of Kimberly.

Our aim is to provide a peaceful place where family and friends can come together, reflect, and remember Kimberly and the memories they shared with her.

Any funds raised beyond the cost of the bench and associated costs arounds this the rest will be donated to a charity chosen by Kimberly’s family.

We are deeply grateful for any support you are able to give during this time 💜

Today marks a moment that carries both weight and meaning.

At the High Court in Glasgow, as sentencing was delivered, staff from Dundee Women’s Aid stood together - not in celebration, but in quiet, unwavering solidarity. Solidarity with Kimberly. Solidarity with every woman whose voice was silenced too soon. Solidarity with those still living in fear.

This is a landmark moment - but not because it brings closure. There is no true closure in loss like this. Instead, it is a moment of recognition. A moment where the gravity of harm is named, where accountability is seen, and where the lives of women are acknowledged as deserving of protection, dignity, and justice.

This is not the end of anything.
It is a call to continue.
