Dundee Bairns is holding a school uniform event next Tuesday - 11th August - in advance of the start of the new school year.

All families are welcome to come along and fill a bag and help re-use lots of lovely school uniforms - and save some pennies too!

It is at Cake or Dice at 89 Commercial Street from 10am to 2pm.

Bring a bag of uniform to swap in if you can - clean, good quality clothing accepted on the day.

All items are free to take if you need. However donations would be gratefully accepted to help to keep this excellent service going.

Huge Congratulations to Joani & Juan's who beautifully tied the knot yesterday at Tayside Deaf Hub. We streamed their wedding across the world, to their loved ones who were unable to attend in person. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇻🇪 a stunning union between Scotland & Venezuela ♥️. We wish you both a lifetime and beyond of happiness.

Congratulations Aidan!

“I’m so excited to be earning my own money, becoming financially independent and my confidence has grown over the past year.” 💬🎓

Aidan joined the DFN Project SEARCH programme to gain workplace experience, meet new people and build his confidence – and what a journey it's been!

His determination, positive attitude and enthusiasm shone through during his placements in Ninewells Hospital’s Waste Management department, where he impressed the team so much he secured a full-time role.

As a British Sign Language (BSL) user, Aidan worked closely with Communication Workers and grabbed every opportunity to learn workplace routines and signs specific to his role. His growth in confidence and independence throughout the programme has been remarkable!

Now enjoying the routine of work, earning his own wage and making new friends, Aidan has become a valued member of the team and is known for taking on every challenge with a smile.

Congratulations again, Aidan! 👏
