🫏❄️ WINTER DONKEY DAYS – A LITTLE UPDATE FROM THE DONKEYS! ❄️🫏
First of all, we were so sorry to have to cancel yesterday’s Donkey Day. Unfortunately, the high winds meant our donkeys decided their cosy winter shed was the place to be, and they stayed tucked up inside all day! 🌬️🫏❤️
Our donkeys absolutely HATE the wind! 😂🌬️ They much prefer being cosy and sheltered, so as always, their comfort and welfare have to come first. ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who has been in touch to reschedule. We really appreciate your understanding and patience, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you for some special donkey time soon! 🫏💕
As we head into winter, Donkey Days may look a little different depending on what the British weather throws at us! 🌧️❄️
Our donkeys have very precious feet, and wet, muddy ground can cause problems with their hooves. High winds can also make them unhappy, so we’ll always put their needs first.
🫏 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOUR DONKEY DAY?
🌧️ If the weather is wet, windy or miserable and the donkeys are in their winter shed:
For health and safety reasons, you won’t be able to enter their shed space. You’ll still be able to see them and say hello from behind the gate, but they’ll be enjoying their cosy indoor time. 🥰🫏
☀️ If the weather is kind and they’re happy out in the field:
It’ll be Donkey Day as normal! 🫏💕 You’ll be able to enjoy your private, one-to-one donkey encounter and spend some lovely time with them out in the field.
Children under 12 are still very welcome to visit, but for health and safety reasons, they must remain outside the field. They’ll still be able to see the donkeys and say hello from behind the gate. 🫏❤️
We’re keeping things flexible because, quite honestly… the donkeys are in charge around here! 😂🫏
🫏📅 OCTOBER & NOVEMBER DONKEY DAY DATES
Our Donkey Days run between 11am and 2pm, with each visit being a private 30-minute, one-to-one booking.
When you book, I’ll give you your individual time slot within the available times below. ❤️
🫏 Saturday 31st October - FULLY BOOKED
🫏 Sunday 15th November – FULLY BOOKED
🫏 Sunday 22nd November – 11:30am–12.30pm
🫏 Sunday 29th November – 11am, 11.30, 12pm, 1pm, 1.30
Spaces are limited, so please get in touch to book your slot! 🫏💕
☕🫏 KEEPING WARM THIS WINTER
Don’t worry about getting too chilly! Mario’s Kart will be serving warm drinks throughout the winter ☕🤎, so you can wrap up warm, grab a hot drink and enjoy some lovely countryside magic while visiting our donkeys.
🫏❤️ DONKEY DAYS ARE DONATION BASED
Just a little reminder that we don’t charge a set fee for our Donkey Days. Instead, we ask for a donation in return for spending time with our donkeys. ❤️
100% of your donation goes towards the care and upkeep of our donkeys all year round. 🥕🫏
Every donation, big or small, genuinely makes a difference and helps us keep these cheeky little characters happy, healthy and very well looked after. Thank you so much for your continued support! 💕
