215th Sheffield - 1st Totley Scout Group

215th Sheffield - 1st Totley Scout Group 215th (1st) Totley Scout Group, based on Aldam Road in Totley. 215th (1st) Totley Scout Group has been delivering activities and adventures since 1944.

We are looking for new leaders and helpers - please get in touch if you're interested in supporting us. During this time it has seen thousands of young people come through it's doors. Traditionally Scouting was an activity only open to boys but in 1991 that all changed when girls were accepted into the Movement and we have a thriving group with a mixture of both boys and girls in each section. We

have five sections within our group:

Beavers - aged 6-8 years old. Cubs - aged 8-10 ½. We have two thriving Cub Packs
Scouts - aged 10 ½-14 ½
Explorers - aged 14 ½-18

All the sections offer a varied and exciting programme of activities giving the young people chance to earn badges and learn life skills. We have been in our current scout hut for over 30 years and it came to us second hand. The building is now showing its age and we are desperately in need of a new building and so serious plans are in place to do some fundraising to help with this. We want to be able to offer good Scouting to the young people in our community for many years to come

🎉We're really happy to have been able to get the Scout hut traversing wall fully replaced over half term! As you can see, it looks fantastic and will enable children and young people from all our sections to develop their climbing skills on site. 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us through fundraising towards this development, including donations from the Totley Independent, Totley Artisan Events and the Totley Show.

We'd also like to thank Stephen Royle from Core Climbing. Stephen is one of our Explorer parents, and managed the project for us, as well as providing mats and holds. Finally, thank you to Simon Wilson from the Climbing Wall Company who designed and built this amazing new wall for us!
