Massive thank you to Pennine Electrical Services for an amazing donation of time and materials to upgrade our main distribution board and connect power to all 3 modules of the new building, the next steps will be to resupply power to the field cabin and toilets and finally in a few weeks hopefully connect the final module to complete the new building.

Massive thanks to Jake Smith, a mobile welder who donated a full Saturday to repair our storage containers, a great guy and an excellent job.

Another FANTASTIC donation of £1000 from Holmesfield Local Market, a huge step towards finishing the new building and getting the toilet block ordered. The next market is on Saturday 10th May, by visiting the market you are supporting them to raise more money for local funds. The market is supported by volunteers and all profits are used for the community.

ITS ACTUALLY HAPPENING........Module 1 is in place, Modules 2 and 3 are en route. Massive thank you to for allowing us to use their yard as a temporary staging area for some very early lorries! These are the three brand new modules which will be joined together to make the main meeting hall. We are still fundraising to buy the fourth module which will be joined onto one end to contain indoor toilets and a kitchen. We have raised close to £4000 in online and offline donations towards our target of £15000 for the fourth module so if you can share far and wide we would appreciate it.

UPDATE : The old portacabin has moved to make way for the new building which we hope will make an appearance one day next week! Also, thanks in part to a very generous anonymous donation of £500 our online and offline donations are now totalling in excess of £4000 towards our target total of £15000. Thank you so much to everyone who is supporting us, watch this space!

Its happening!!!!! This weekend we moved our gazebo which was joined onto the old portacabin onto the field ready for the removal of the old portacabin and delivery of our new modular building at the start of April. You can see in the photos our old, tiny, cold, damp portacabin which we are replacing and upgrading and also that we moved our gazebo onto the field to provide a rain proof outdoor space.

Work Weekend Update: A massive thank you to everyone who helped at Wreakes Lane this weekend. We have dug foundations for the gazebo to be moved on to the field, filled 4 out of 8 with 4 tons of concrete (which we mixed and barrowed onto the field, scraped and repainted the toilet block, planted trees, and took out railings as well as loads of other things. Amazing progress! We are hoping to be ready for our new 3 module building due to be delivered in April!

Our first update is a massive Thank You to Kenny Brakes Joinery, who not only donated timber to build a frame for the new roof on the cabin at Wreakes Lane, but also donated time to build the frame and install the roof. Brilliant job. This protects the integrity of what we already have as we move forward!

It’s been a little while since our last update, we had to make some changes to our plans to build in Holmesfield. This was due to skyrocketing costs that left us with an unattainable goal.

We have since regrouped and are in the process of developing the current District site to ensure facilities are suitable for scouting and secure the future of 3rd Holmesfield.

More updates to follow on this as things are already in the works to make this happen!

Exciting opportunity!
We are actively recruiting adults to come and support our younger sections with the view to take on a primary role in the section over time.
We are specifically looking for this with our beavers and cub sections. We meet at Dronfield Scout HQ, Wreakes Lane, Dronfield.
Beavers meet 5.30 - 6.30pm (aged 6-7)
Cubs meet 6.45-8pm (aged 8-10.5)
We are a popular group with waiting lists for some sections, the leadership team is supportive and it’s a very exciting time to join as we move towards building our new HQ.

We are currently in full swing with our grand summer raffle.
Tickets are available to buy from members of the group, alternatively, you can message the page here and we will arrange to send you a payment link and the picture of your tickets.
They are £1 each for a book of 5 for £5.
We have a long list of prizes and still more arriving.
We will start to advertise these prizes here over the next couple of weeks.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us by donating a prize, it couldn’t be done without you.

Plans are moving forward so we are having a big push for fundraising.
Our next one is our Big Summer Raffle.
We have some prizes in and will be getting tickets shortly. Can anyone donate a prize, or know anyone who could donate a prize?
