REMINDER - Dovers 5KYW is cancelled due to the red traffic warning. The parkrun is still going ahead, but it is advised to stay local because of the traffic warning. If you’d like to reach out for anything, please message us! See you all in June!

May 5KYW Cancelled

Due to Dover being on a red traffic alert next weekend and seeing people queue for hours this weekend, we have decided to cancel the May 5KYW. We are expecting people from different areas and we do not want to see you stuck in traffic, or risk having no volunteers due to them being stuck too.

We are inviting everyone to our June event on Saturday 27th June to make up for the cancellation. We will have free cakes and will (of course) meet at Costa for a drink after.

Apologies for any inconveniences caused! Please visit your local 5KYW or parkrun next weekend instead. See you all in June!

Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Awareness Month 💙 - Thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s 5KYW. We had 38 people join us for today’s event. We had even more join us by wearing blue! Thanks to DJ Kevin Daly for coming to play music today. Another thank you to Ashford Tri Club team for coming along to volunteer. Thank you to Ian Dunning and Tom for baking delicious treats for everyone. ST James Costa Coffee thank you for letting us come for a drink afterwards. Our next event is on Saturday 30th May. Come along and join us 💙

Good morning parkrunners! Who’s ready for the weekend?

This week the rowing club are hosting their regatta, so the seafront is going to be a little busier than usual. Because of this, we’ve arranged extra marshals with the help of the rowing club to keep everything running smoothly.

Please listen to the marshals and be respectful of everyone enjoying the seafront 🙏

Secondly, it’s 5K Your Way 💙 Supporting teenage and young adult cancer awareness.

We’d love to see as many of you as possible wearing blue in support of 5K Your Way! 💙

And to top it all off, we’ll have Kevin Daly on the mic playing some well-known tunes to keep the energy high 🎶

Can you help us? - We want to reach more people who have been impacted by cancer. This month is Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Awareness Month and we want as many people to join our group on Saturday 25th April. Can you help us spread the word? If you work in a hospital or GP, or know someone that does, let us know! We would love to have our leaflets in as many hospitals and GP’s as possible. If you can also help share our posts and tell people you know about our group. Let’s make this month’s event the biggest one yet! We are asking everyone to come wearing blue to support Teenage Cancer Trust and 5K Your Way. Move Against Cancer 💙
