An women only craft social where you can bring a WIP or start something new using our materials. Even if you don't feel like crafting you are more than welcome to come along and make some new friends !

We've recently relaunched our Cancer Support Group, and we'd love to meet those of you who've heard about it but haven't quite made it along yet.

So we're hosting a coffee morning! It's a relaxed chance to pop in, see what the group is all about and meet the lovely ladies who run it. There'll also be some professionals on hand who can point you towards extra support if you need it. And of course, there'll be coffee and cake. Drop in whenever suits you and we'll give you a warm welcome.

The group itself runs every Thursday from 9am to 1pm as a drop-in session. It's open to anyone with a cancer diagnosis, anyone living with someone who has one, and anyone who's feeling worried about cancer. It's a safe space to meet others who understand what you're going through, and we have plenty of resources and can signpost you to other services too.

Like all our groups, there's a creative activity you can join in with, because we really believe creativity helps with wellbeing. But there's absolutely no pressure, you're welcome to just come along, have a cuppa and a chat.

What a fantastic success !

Our Bake Off event on Friday saw 12 entries of all sorts of delicious cakes and treats carefully judged on both taste and presentation. In the end it was 's chocolate cake that took the title of Star Baker winning herself a Castle Street Coffee voucher !

We then spent the afternoon selling the cakes managing to make over £250 to go towards our Be Smart Day Annual Fundraiser. Whilst we were busy at the gallery with our Bake Off many schools in the area also took on varying challenges such as a mile fun run & silly socks day and we look forward to hearing how they got on this week !

Just 2 days to go!

Our Bake Off for Be Smart Day is this Friday, and there's still time to get involved. We'd love to see as many cakes as possible, so if you've been thinking about entering, this is your sign.

Just bake a cake and bring it down to the gallery by 10am for judging. If you're short on ingredients, pop in beforehand because we've got plenty here for you to use.

Once judging's done, all the cakes will be cut up and sold in our bake sale 11-1. Every slice helps us keep doing the work we do in the community, so even if baking isn't your thing, come along and buy a piece!

One week to go!

Next Friday we're holding a Bake Off at the gallery for Be Smart Day, and we'd love as many of you as possible to get involved. Every penny raised helps us carry on the work we do in the community.

All you need to do is bake a cake and bring it down to the gallery by 10am for judging. No ingredients at home? Don't worry, we've got plenty here for you to use.

After judging, all the cakes will be cut up and sold to the public in our bake sale 11am - 1pm. So even if you're not a baker, come along, grab a slice and support a good cause.

🧁 Calling all bakers! 🧁

We're hosting a Bake Off at the gallery for Be Smart Day, our annual fundraiser. Bring your best bake down for judging at 10am on 2nd October, and our judge will crown a Star Baker on taste, presentation and creativity, with a prize up for grabs.

And a big thank you to Morrisons Dover, who've kindly donated some baking ingredients. We've got a limited amount at the gallery, so if you'd love to take part but can't get hold of ingredients yourself, just pop in and we'll sort you out.

Once judging's done, all the bakes go on sale to the public, with everything raised going straight back into our community work. Come along, get baking, and help us make Be Smart Day a good one !

Be Smart Day is back and we need our local heroes! 🌟

On Friday 2nd October, we're asking you to take on a challenge and raise some money for Dover Smart Project. You can take part on your own, as a school, or as a business, whatever works for you.

The best bit is you get to choose your own challenge. Bake sale, sponsored run, quiz night, litter pick, a walk, a swim, dressing up for the day, it really can be anything at all.

We work mainly with young carers, but we also run our Cancer and Dementia support groups and a group for parents of young carers too. Everything we raise helps us keep these spaces going and reduce isolation across Dover.

Our latest mural on the side of the Tower Hamlets Scout hut! 🎨

Massive thanks to Sam Giles who brought this mural to life alongside members of the community, making it a real collaborative effort and something everyone living locally can feel proud of and connected to.

Rejuvenating shared spaces isn’t just about a fresh coat of paint. Research shows that well-managed shared spaces and a strong sense of belonging within a community are closely linked to people’s overall wellbeing. Projects like this one help build exactly that sense of ownership and pride in the places we call home. 💙
