Our story:
United With Ukraine started with calls for help from Ukrainian nationals in need of medical supplies, for the urgent trauma casualties of the ongoing bombardment but also for the vital regular supplies for patients now cut-off due to the war, such as insulin for diabetes. We have already had medical equipment donations valuing over £30,000 from kind hearts in the UK. United With Ukraine is led by Charlie Cawsey of Type One Style, a UK-based diabetes specialist company, and supported by a team of UK entrepreneurs, doctors, Ukrainian nationals, website developers, charities and the Office of the President of the Ukraine. We have been working 24/7 for the last three days to set up a solid network of logistics in conjunction with our Ukrainian counterparts, with on the ground information from medics in Kiev and utilising volunteer networks on the Polish border, we have established a robust delivery plan to get donated medical supplies to the Polish border and then distributed to desperate patients in hospitals and community areas in war-torn Ukraine. On the UK side we have set up a small warehouse space, but as you can see it's already filling up. We have hospital trusts and large donations already lined up, we need money for logistics to get them to our warehouse, to pack and sort, and to fund delivery in Poland and beyond.
