With a number of friends and family that suffer with this condition and having had Gestational Diabetes 16 years ago, I am aware of the importance for care, and medical advancements to continually improve health for long term treatment of this condition.
I have been aware recently that I need something to inspire me to improve my own health and whilst I am on my feet for much of the day, I still know that 10,500 steps a day is going to be a challenge!
I’d be so grateful and encouraged by any small donation you could give to spur me on and help make a difference, this summer! Thank you so much Laura xx

I'm taking on the One Million Steps Challenge and raising money for Diabetes UK

Here at The Beehive, we have a great sense of community and care for those we serve and work with. We love to laugh, and create an atmosphere that is kind to all..a rare thing!!Currently we need some more team to work either Saturday mornings 9.30-1.30 or afternoons 1.00-4.30pm. During a shift we sort the donations of women’s clothing, pricing them and dressing the shop floor and windows. Make and serve delicious coffee and cake, speak with customers and ensure the shop is clean and ready for the following working day. If you need some work experience, some new friends and company, some building of confidence we’d love for you to join us.

A very Happy Birthday to our deputy manager Clare!!! I’m so glad I get to work beside you and that you have my back when I drop balls, forget things, remind me and prompt me when I need it. Thank you for seeing the things I miss, care for people, bring wisdom and kindness and creativity to all that you do! At The Beehive Dover, we love books!
Did you know we have two monthly Book Clubs and we sell second hand books for everyone's enjoyment.
If you have a pile of books you've read and don't know what to do with, we'd be immensely grateful to take donations to help pass on the joy they may contain! This is also an alternative way of supporting The Beehive project.

With the sun coming back, everyone is invited to come down to The Beehive to try out one of our delicious summer drinks (or all of them, no-one is counting!!)
We can also do iced coffees with a variety of delcious syrups.
We continue to have a great selection of women's clothes and accessories, games and toys to play with and chalk board tables for all to doodle on. If you are looking for something to do this weekend, pop in and see us!!
