On Tuesday this week we made a “Memory for Life” for a lovely little boy, Teddy.

Teddy’s mum told us he loves Mr Tumble and that he’d appreciate a video message. We contacted some friends who managed to get a message especially for Teddy from Justin Fletcher. We also got a few gifts delivered to the hospital. The photos and videos (which will be posted separately) speak for themselves and we’re so happy we could bring some joy to Teddy and his family.

We wish Teddy health, happiness and a sprinkle of Archie magic in whatever comes next for him ✨

Today would’ve been Archie’s 14th birthday. I was surprised by my reaction to this milestone; I woke up angry. I can’t work out my feelings on this or why I feel how I do but it is what it is. Some people remembered, and those texts meant the world. Most people didn’t and I suppose, if you’re not living the grief everyday, we can’t expect it to be important in anyone else’s lives. I guess I knew this would be the case eventually and I completely understand that. I’m grateful for the people who went to Archie’s grave and put down colourful potted plants. His grave is well visited and cared for; thank you! 💔💙

A few bits for E1 Ocean Ward from Archie’s Warriors, including torches, calculators and a kettle (for the nurses), galaxy light projectors for the side rooms, bubbles for the blood room, clip on fans for the cots and another kettle for the parents.

Today we helped facilitate a “Memory for Life” at Southampton Hospital for a special little boy. Sonny has had a tough time, following his open heart surgery, and was in need of a little joy being brought to his bedside. Archie’s Warriors were happy to help.

Sonny’s parents told us that he loves Southampton FC, and the goalkeeper, Daniel Peretz, in particular. So, we arranged a Southampton FC goalkeeper football top and had it signed by Peretz himself - then we had it framed. We also managed to get a personalised video message from Peretz, especially for Sonny, sent a few weeks ago (along with some toys). Peretz visited Sonny this afternoon and presented him with the signed, framed football shirt, and a pair of his very own goalkeeper gloves. Sonny’s beaming face says it all and I know this would’ve made our gorgeous Archie very proud.
