Wessex Schools Music Wessex Schools Music is part of Wessex MAT and supports music education across the local area.

DASP Music is a charity (1162919) that coordinates instrumental lessons within the Dorchester area and also runs musical ensembles for young people in Dorchester and beyond. We support the schools within the Dorchester Area Schools' Partnership in the delivery of their music curriculum, and provide concert opportunities for young people.

There's still time to apply to South West Music School!

We're delighted by the response to our 2026/27 applications so far, but there are still opportunities available for talented young musicians across the South West.

⭐ Only 6 grant-funded places remain
⭐ Additional audition day has been scheduled for the 12th July.
⭐ Applications are still open!

At SWMS, we support young people from a wide range of musical backgrounds and genres, helping them to grow as musicians and artists regardless of financial circumstances.
