100 miles 🙌

Laura has just surpassed 100 miles in 4 days 😲

An incredible effort that she plans to sustain across the weekend 👏

If Laura was walking around Ireland from Derry she would be near Carrickfergus 💪

Laura is walking 500 miles across September to raise funds for the Foundation so that we can continue to spread skin cancer awareness across Northern Ireland.

Day two update 🚶‍♀️

Yesterday, Laura surpassed 50 miles total distance walked! Wow 👏

So far Laura has taken over 100,000 steps 😲

We'll be posting updates throughout September, but as you can see, if she was walking around Ireland starting from Derry, she would be just past Ballintoy Harbour.

Belfast Mela 2026 💛

Yesterday, we were kindly invited to share an awareness stand with the Care in the Sun team from Cancer Focus Northern Ireland

A day full of colour, culture and conversation.

We we're delighted to meet with the new health minister Robbie Butler and chat about our mission of spreading skin cancer awareness 🙌

A huge thank you to Michael and Melanie for the invite, we look forward to working with you again in a few weeks at the NWRC freshers fairs in L/Derry & Limavady 🙏

Two Days to go..🚶‍♀️

As Laura prepares to start her incredible 500 mile walking challenge, the reality of what lies ahead is beginning to sink in.

From 1 September, Laura will walk 500 miles in just 30 days, pushing herself physically and mentally to raise vital funds for the Fiona Brady Foundation and help us continue Fiona’s legacy.

Fiona was just 36 when skin cancer took her life in January 2024. Her story is the reason this foundation exists, and every mile Laura walks is helping us turn that loss into something positive.

But Laura needs your help.

500 miles is a long way to walk alone.

You might not be able to walk a mile with Laura, but you can be part of her journey. A £5 donation, £10 donation, or whatever you can afford, could help us reach our fundraising target and allow the Fiona Brady Foundation to keep spreading this vital message across Northern Ireland.

3 days to go 🚶‍♂️

Laura is walking 500 miles across one month this September, turning every step into a chance to talk about skin cancer across Northern Ireland. 🌿

The challenge supports the Fiona Brady Foundation, created after Fiona sadly died from skin cancer in January 2024, aged just 36. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in Northern Ireland, yet UV protection and early checks are still too often underestimated.

Laura’s effort will help the Foundation share Fiona’s story through awareness campaigns, education, events and conversations, reminding people that skin cancer can affect anyone, at any age. The fundraiser is already 80% of the way to its goal, thanks to 9 donations totalling £200.

I’m grateful to everyone who has helped bring this message further. Please support Laura’s 500-mile challenge through the GoFundMe page so Fiona’s story can help protect others.
