Digital Switch Over 📞☎️

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is sharing information from BT regarding the UK’s traditional landlines, which are switching off by January 2027.

BT advises that most people can switch at no extra cost and keep the same number and phones. Some older and vulnerable people may need extra support to get ready.

BT’s campaign urges everyone to act when contacted. Ignoring the switch could mean disruption to vital services.

Please check in with older friends, family, or neighbours and make sure they know what to expect and feel confident about switching.

I have had people get in touch recently after getting issued with a notice to quit from their landlord, mainly because the landlord is selling the property

I know this can be really stressful, especially if you are unsure about what to do next or what help might be available through NIHE

If this is something you or a family member are dealing with, you are welcome to get in touch

We can talk through your options and sometimes even having a chat about it can make things feel a bit clearer♥️

We are proud to share some feedback from people who have used the First Housing Advice Service.

Lately at clinics, I am meeting more and more people who are feeling overwhelmed by the housing crisis. It’s tough out there, and sometimes people just need a bit of clarity or someone to talk things through with.

If you are in Derry/Londonderry, Strabane, Limavady or Dungiven and you are feeling unsure about your housing situation, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

I can offer advice, short-term support where needed, and if longer-term help would be beneficial, I can refer into our floating support service.

Sometimes just knowing you have someone to speak to and help you work through your options can make things feel a little more manageable.

Support is there if and when you feel ready to reach out ♥️
