🏡💚 TONIGHT – GALLIAGH'S FUTURE NEEDS YOUR VOICE!

GALLIAGH PLACE SHAPING PLAN 2036

Tonight is an important opportunity for the people of Galliagh to have their say on the future of our community.

Over the coming months, a new 10-year Place Shaping Plan will be developed, looking at the needs, priorities and ambitions of Galliagh between now and 2036.

But for this process to be meaningful, we need local residents to get involved.

The people who live in Galliagh know better than anyone what works, what needs to change and where improvements are needed.

Whether it's housing, community facilities, services, opportunities for our young people, support for older residents, green spaces or the general environment of our estate, your experiences and opinions matter.

📅 TONIGHT – TUESDAY 3RD NOVEMBER
⏰ 6pm–8.30pm
📍 Galliagh Community Centre

We would particularly encourage residents who don't normally attend community meetings or get involved in consultations to come along.

You don't need to represent a group, have a particular issue or know anything about Place Shaping. Just come along and tell us what you think.

A plan for Galliagh should reflect the voices of the people who live here, not just those who regularly attend meetings.

We have an opportunity to help identify the priorities for our community over the next decade, and the more residents who take part, the better informed that plan will be.

Please make an effort to come along tonight, even if it's just for a short while.

💚 Your community. Your future. Your voice.

Let's make sure the people of Galliagh are at the heart of shaping what comes next.

Please share with friends, family and neighbours.

🎃👻 HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM EVERYONE AT GALLIAGH COMMUNITY CENTRE! 🎃

Wishing everyone across Galliagh and the wider community a fantastic Halloween!

As Derry celebrates 40 years of its famous Halloween festivities, we hope everyone enjoys the celebrations, whether you're heading into town, taking the children trick-or-treating or enjoying a quieter evening at home.

Halloween is a special time in our city, bringing families, friends and communities together for a bit of fun and celebration.

💚 A wee reminder to look out for one another, keep the young ones safe and be mindful of our neighbours, particularly older residents and those who may find the noise and fireworks unsettling.

Let's enjoy everything that makes Halloween in Derry so special while helping to keep our streets and neighbourhoods safe.

🎃 Have fun, look after each other and enjoy the celebrations!

Happy Halloween from all the team at GCC! 💚💙

Rather than see them go to waste, we'd love to pass them on to another community group, charity, youth club or local centre that could put them to good use.

💚💙 GALLIAGH'S FUTURE – HAVE YOUR SAY!

🏡 Galliagh Place Shaping Plan 2036

What would you like to see happen in Galliagh over the next 10 years?

What could we improve? What does our community need? And what ideas do you have that could help make Galliagh an even better place to live, work and grow up?

As part of the Galliagh Place Shaping Plan 2036, local residents, community groups and organisations are being invited to share their views and help shape the future of our area.

Two community engagement events will take place at Galliagh Community Centre:

📅 Tuesday 3rd November
⏰ 6pm–8.30pm

📅 Friday 6th November
⏰ 1pm–4pm

📍 Both events at Galliagh Community Centre

This is an opportunity for local people to talk about the things that matter to them, whether that's housing, community facilities, services, opportunities for young people, the local environment or wider improvements across Galliagh.

The people who live and work in Galliagh know their community best, and their voices should be at the heart of planning its future.

We would encourage as many residents as possible to come along, share their experiences and put forward their ideas.

You don't need to be involved in a community group or organisation. Everyone has something to contribute.

If you can't attend, you can still have your say using the QR code on the poster.

💚 It's your community. Your ideas matter. Have your say!

Please share and help spread the word.
