Sight Support Derbyshire (reg. charity no. 1080986) supports visually impaired adults and children We also have an office in Chesterfield.

Formerly Derbyshire Association for the Blind, Sight Support Derbyshire was established in 1914 to support soldiers returning from World War One. In 2012 we changed our name to reflect the fact that many of the visually impaired users of our services are not actually registered blind. We support 4,000 people in Derbyshire by offering rehabilitation, sports and leisure services, home support, low vision assessments and more, with most of our services delivered by a team of committed and experienced volunteers. Our head office in Wentworth House, Derby is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday. Our aim is to extend our services to benefit every visually impaired person in Derbyshire.

Our new Autumn/Winter activities programme is now available (link in comments) and promises to be just as much fun as last year!
People tell us that living with sight loss can be isolating which is why we organise a calendar of activities across Derbyshire from cafe meet ups, to gentle walks, to crafts, music and trips to museums, cinema and the theatre. If you or someone you know could benefit please do join us.
