Lizzie Adcock started the group in Derbyshire after losing two loved ones to the disease.

Our partner for the sleigh run this year is Safe and Sound Group and here we are at the opening of their newly refurbished premises at Melbourne House, Bold Lane. Pictured is Tracey Harrison explaining to the bondholders of Marketing Derby the wonderful work the charity does. Many of our elves will be volunteers from Safe and Sound, including Tracey.

It is fantastic to see that our friends at Scropton Horse Centre have received such a generous donation from Russell Roof Tiles.

Wow - just look what Bella the pony found by the Christmas Tree today - a cheque for Β£8731.40 from the wonderful people at Russell Roof Tiles!!!

They've been fundraising for us all year and surprised us today with this fantastic donation to Scropton Riding for the Disabled.

It's been brilliant to have their support all year, not just with fundraising, but also with volunteering days to help us with maintenance here at the centre. We'll be looking forward to them visiting again next year to see how their donation has helped us.

Huge thanks & a Happy Christmas from everyone here at Scropton to all of you at Russell Roof Tiles

UPDATE: Lizzie and Tim shared the great news that given the positive encouragement and our donation, they launched their community where patients and their families/support network can come together and share their journeys with one another.
We are truly honoured we could help Liver Lantern to reach more people in the community.

On 18th June evening our Satellite team met at the Red Cow and welcomed Lizzie and Tim Adcock so that we could present a cheque for Β£250 in support of their charity, The Liver Lantern Project. Satellite member Paul Barrass presented the cheque to Lizzie who went on to tell her moving story of her Mother's life with liver disease and how she spent a number of years as her carer..
Shown in the picture is Paul with Lizzie who is holding one of her Liver Lantern Comfort bags. These she puts together comprising essential items to help those with the disease, offering additional comfort. She issues these free to those patients nearing their End-of-Life from liver disease. If anyone would like to enquire then contact Lizzie on [email protected].
