💙 No parent or carer should have to figure it all out alone. 💚

Sometimes, the most valuable support comes from sitting alongside someone who just gets it — someone who understands the worries, the questions, the battles and the little victories that others might not always see.

We know that navigating the world of SEND can sometimes feel overwhelming, and finding the right support, information and people who understand can make such a difference.

That’s why we’re really pleased to be bringing together three wonderful organisations for a morning built around community, understanding and connection. 💚

A huge thank you to Fleur from First Look SEN and Emma from Wellbeing Wise Derby for joining us and helping to create a space where parents and carers can feel welcomed, listened to and supported.

You don’t need to have all the answers, know what to ask or even know where to start. Just come as you are.

Because sometimes, finding your people is the beginning of everything.

📣 Please share this post with any parents or carers who might appreciate a friendly face, a listening ear or simply the reminder that they’re not alone.
We’d love to see you there! 💙

If you are joining us please comment, send a message on here or contact 07792427345 to let us know 😊

Views on the Autumn 2026 budget

I have been asked to give my views on some points made in the chancellor's budget today and will be sharing them on BBC Radio Derbys Breakfast show around 7am tomorrow.

Points I'm asked to consider are:

🔵 Carers Allowance changes

Currently if you earn a penny over the income threshold whilst working and caring for someone your carers allowance is completely stopped
From 2030 if you are in receipt of carers allowance and working there will be a new tapered approach which means that for every £1 you earn over the permitted weekly earnings limit your carers allowance will reduce by £1

https://www.thinkmoney.co.uk/blog/carers-allowance-changes-in-budget-2026-new-earnings-rules-and-when-they-start/

🟢 National Minimum wage increase from £12.71 to £13.21 and the impact this may have on small businesses

🔵 The overall response to the current cost of living crisis, plans for energy prices and the £100 payment to all UK households in council tax band A -D.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/what-the-autumn-budget-2026-means-for-your-energy-bills

Appreciate it's a late one but would love to hear your views, please comment or message.

Can't promise I will not mention the irrelevance of reducing the price of gherkins 🫣

Thank you

Autumn Budget 2026 will change Carer's Allowance earnings rules, but not until 2030. Find out how the new taper works, who qualifies and what happens to overpayments.

💚 What a fantastic morning celebrating our final PCC Safer Minds, Stronger Communities event! 💙

Today was a wonderful opportunity to bring people together, celebrate the connections we’ve built over the past year, and recognise the power of partnership in supporting our communities.

We were joined by colleagues from across health, recovery, abuse support, community groups, housing, family support, children and young people’s services, GP surgeries, Derbyshire police and more.

It was brilliant to see so many different services and organisations come together with a shared purpose: to support people, strengthen connections and help our communities feel safer, healthier and more connected.

Over the past year, these events have created space for conversations, collaboration, shared learning and, most importantly, stronger relationships between the people and services working hard to make a difference every day.

A huge thank you to every organisation, professional, community partner and individual who has attended, contributed and supported these events along the way.

Your time, commitment and willingness to work together have helped make them what they are. 💚

Although this marks the end of our monthly PCC Safer Minds, Stronger Communities events, the relationships, connections and shared commitment to our communities don’t end here.

At Clear Mind Derby CIC, we believe that when we work together, share knowledge and make support more accessible, we can make a real difference to people’s lives.

Here’s to the partnerships we’ve built, the conversations we’ve started and the positive work that continues beyond today. 💙

My huge appreciation also goes out to our team of amazing staff and volunteers that have supported this happening!
Team Clear Mind Derby 👊🏽💚👊🏽💙

Together, we can lighten the load. 💚

🎄🎁DUNELM DELIVERING JOY🎁🎄

Christmas can be a magical time, but for some people it can also be a time of worry, loneliness and financial pressure.

That’s why we’re so delighted that Clear Mind Derby CIC has been selected for Dunelm’s Delivering Joy campaign! 🥰

🎄 The tree is now up in Dunelm Derby, and every gift donated has the potential to make a real difference to someone in our community.

Sometimes, a gift is about so much more than what’s inside the wrapping. It’s about feeling remembered, knowing someone cares, and having a little bit of Christmas magic when it’s needed most. ❤️

Whether it brings a smile to a child’s face, comfort to someone feeling lonely, or a little joy to someone facing a difficult time, one small act of kindness can mean the world.

If you’re visiting Dunelm Derby, please take a look at the tree and consider helping us spread a little joy this Christmas. 🎁✨

A huge thank you to Dunelm for giving us this opportunity to make Christmas that little bit brighter for the people we support.

Together, we can lighten the load. 💚💙

💚 RESET – Small changes, making a big difference 💚

Today, one of our RESET team members had the pleasure of supporting a wonderful lady who reached out to us for a little extra help. 🏡✨

Some much-needed work to help create a more welcoming, accessible and safe entrance to her home and a more calm and relaxing bedroom.

Sometimes, it’s not about making everything perfect or changing everything overnight. It’s about those little changes that make a real difference to how we feel in our own space, helping us feel safer, more comfortable and more confident. 💚

At Clear Mind Derby CIC, RESET is about more than decluttering or organising. It’s about understanding that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, offering practical, non-judgemental support, and helping people take those first steps towards feeling better in their own homes.

Need a little help to reset your space and your wellbeing? You don't have to tackle everything alone. Get in touch with us to find out how our RESET service could support you.
