🔵⚪️🔵 U🔟s 🔵⚪️🔵
The U10s welcomed 2 teams from West Hill to 🏟 The Campus 🏟 for 🎃 Halloween 👻 ⚽️.

Coach Matt 🗣 It was a bit of an off day for the Centurions today, and when we did create a chance, their keeper pulled off some blinding saves or we were missing a favourable bounce of the ⚽️. The boys kept battling 💪 to the end which was pleasing to see.

🏆Player of the Match 🏆 goes to Jenson, he never backs down from a challenge and he came up against a tricky attacker and a tall midfielder and more often than not came away with the ball 👍. His tracking back was excellent and he came so close to scoring with a superb left foot half-volley 👌.

Coach Rian 🗣 From start to finish, the Spartans put in a great shift and scored some good team and individual goals 👏🏾. I can really notice a difference in you all individually since the start of the season and I want to credit Coach Joe for the extra work he’s putting in with you all at training, it’s deffo paying off so keep up the good work lads 👍🏾

There was some great performances today from all of the lads, Oakley and Lucas in particular, but🏆 Player of the Match 🏆 was George. His non-stop pressing from up top, he held the ball up well and his foot work was outstanding today (twinkle toes 👏🏾). He scored 4 very good goals and brought others into play when possible. Well done George 🤙🏾

🔵⚪️🔵 U7️⃣s Centurions 🔵⚪️🔵
This week the centurion’s welcomed Broadclyst to 🏟 The Campus 🏟.

Broadclyst have a very good youth set up at this level so it was a great challenge for the boys to go up against them.

Coach Kieran🗣️ The boys showed so much grit and determination and put on a great account for themselves. They came accross a very pyhsical opposition but the boys stuck to the task and showed some great football along the way.

This weeks 🏆 Player Of The Match🏆 was William. William showed great spirit and helped his team bring great success.

Great effort from all the boys🔵⚪️

Our U12's picked up a fantastic win in the cup today against Lympstone.

With a bare squad the girls had to dig deep and they put in an unbelievable performance.

The togetherness as a team showed through today.

Broadclyst were the visitors to 🏟 The Campus 🏟 and the ⚽️ did not disappoint on Halloween 🎃 👻.

Coach Ryan 🗣 Absolutely fantastic today from every single player. Broadclyst were a big, strong side with some great little players, as expected, but we played our usual game and let our quality shine through. An immense effort from everyone.

Today’s focus was teamwork, and every single boy bought into it. They worked for their team, encouraged their teammates and played for each other. That was exactly what I wanted to see.

🏆 Parents’ Player of the Week 🏆 goes to Toby! He was an absolute engine today. He didn’t stop running from the first game to the last. Not only was his work rate through the roof, but he also showed some great quality on the ball.

When needed, he stepped in to help the Centurions and continued to show exactly the same level of effort and commitment. That willingness to work for the team, whoever he’s playing alongside, is brilliant to see.

Well done Toby! 👏🏼⚽️

🎉 Trainer of the Week 🎉 goes to Thomas! I think everyone knows the quality Thomas has, but in recent weeks he’s really stepped up another level. The speed at which he can now utilise his ball mastery is what makes him so difficult for opponents to stop.

Working alongside Harrison in a team of two, he worked tirelessly throughout. It’s always a good sign of a strong performance when opposition coaches take the time to comment on how well you’ve played!

A fantastic performance and a really good few weeks from Thomas.

Well done Thomas! 👏🏼⚽️

Our U12's girls got a fantastic 2-1 win today away from home against Whipton Wolverines.

After a difficult first half when we were playing against the wind our top scorer Kara came up with two fantastic goals to seal the three points 👏

Whipton gave us a fantastic game and the girls had to really battle to get that win.

Player of the match: Millie 🏆
Goals: Kara ⚽️⚽️

A massive thank-you to Whipton for thier hospitality and warm welcome.

3 points on the road against Newton Town today for Cranbrook Girls U14s.
Thanks to Newton coaches for getting an early pitch inspection done!
Pitch was looking good but a windy one .

We were nervous going into this one with no subs but the girls listened to the instructions and came away with a 1 nil win 👏

Don’t think there would have been much argument from anyone if we gave coaches player to any of the girls today .

Coaches player of the match : Elosie 👏

Opposition player of the match : Elsie 👏

Debutant and Goal scorer : Sibu 👏

Well done to everyone on the teamsheet today

On to Heavitree in the cup next week ⚽️

The U10 Spartans visited Dawlish in what we will describe as 'proper ⚽️ weather' 😄 .

Coach Joe 🗣 The Spartans made a really strong start and were on it from the beginning which we've worked on in training. Like the last few weeks you kept running and defended really well, but what showed a real improvement today was your positioning and your passing. Keep that up!

You listened to us really well too, taking advice on board and getting into great positions. We genuinely thought you all had your best game I've seen this year!

🏆 Player of the Match 🏆 was a joint one to Dylan and Oakley. Dylan made some great passes and got stuck in with some important tackles. Oakley made some great runs forward and a couple of brilliant finishes.

Thanks for everyone's support in the 🌧 🌧.

Coach Ryan 🗣 Absolutely fantastic effort from all the boys in our fixture against Feniton today! 👏🏼⚽️ The word of the day, given the conditions, was determination.

The biggest positive for me today, though, was how we moved the ball. We started working on this on Thursday, and seeing the boys take those ideas straight into the games and make an immediate difference was brilliant. Considering the conditions, the effort and quality on show were immense.

🏆 Parents’ Player of the Week 🏆 goes to Parker!

Again, I can’t disagree with the parents! Parker ran hard, carried the ball brilliantly and played some superb passes. Despite clearly being absolutely freezing, he never gave up and continued to give everything for the team.

A fantastic effort and thoroughly deserved!

Well done Parker! 👏🏼⚽️

🎉 Trainer of the Week 🎉 is Arlo!

Arlo has trained really well this week and, more importantly, applied what we practised straight into the games today.

He loves to dribble with the ball, but seeing him start to release the ball earlier, bring his teammates into play and make those decisions was brilliant. It made a real difference to his game and is exactly the sort of progress we want to see.

Well done Arlo! 👏🏼⚽️
