Thinking about installing a community public access defibrillator (CPAD)?

There are many organisations and charities that can help communities purchase a defibrillator package, and it’s important to choose the option that’s right for you.

South Western Ambulance Charity are pleased to share a new referral partnership with Heartbeat Trust UK. If you choose to purchase a CPAD package through them after being referred, Heartbeat Trust UK will make a £100 donation to South Western Ambulance Charity.

Find out more at ▶️swambulancecharity.org/communityresilience.

Those donations will help fund initiatives that strengthen community resilience to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, including Community First Responders, community defibrillators and other life-saving projects across the South West.

If you’re looking to purchase a CPAD, search online for ‘community public access defibrillator packages South West’ to explore the range of providers available. If you decide to purchase through Heartbeat Trust UK via our referral, you’ll also be helping to support the vital work of our charity.

Every defibrillator installed has the potential to save a life ❤️

⚡ A defibrillator can only save a life if it's ready to be used.

Every year, more than 40,000 people experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK. In those critical first moments, access to a working defibrillator can make all the difference.

This (15–21 June), we're encouraging all defibrillator Guardians to take a few minutes to check that their device is rescue ready:

✔️ Pads are in date
✔️ Batteries are working
✔️ The cabinet is accessible
✔️ Details are accurate on The Circuit

These simple checks help ensure that if someone nearby suffers a cardiac arrest, a defibrillator is available when it's needed most.

Not a defibrillator Guardian? You can still get involved by finding your nearest defibrillator using DefibFinder and familiarising yourself with its location before an emergency happens: https://www.defibfinder.uk/
