Time to introduce the team behind the show.

The fabulous watercolour paintings of Felicity Flutter RI SGFA. Flic has been working hard behind the scenes since 2012 to bring The Cranbrook Art Show to life. As a full time artist and secretary to the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, we are very lucky that she continues to give generously of her time as part of the team.

Throughout her painting career, Flic has been fascinated by the challenge of painting water. Since moving closer to the coast over a decade ago, she has become preoccupied with light, colour and movement in the waves that she photographs along our beautiful English coastlines. She aims to capture these elusive subjects in watercolours, with layers of translucent paint combined with graphite and Nero pencils. Recently she has painted a series of smaller artworks concentrating on close up details.

In 2022, Flic was elected as a full member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours based at the Mall Galleries in London and in 2024 was elected to Council as Honorary Secretary. She is also a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art and the Wilderness Art Collective.

Time to introduce the team behind the show.

The intricate works of Jade Taylor combine printmaking and painting in her unique style. Jade has been working hard behind the scenes for 5 years to bring The Cranbrook Art Show to life. As a very busy full time artist, we are not sure how she finds the time!

Working from her garden studio in the heart of the Kent countryside, botanical and wildlife artist Jade Taylor creates intricate works inspired by the beauty, fragility and interconnectedness of the natural world. Her practice is particularly concerned with native wildlife, habitats and ecosystems, exploring the delicate relationships between species and their environments.

Trained as a textile designer, Jade's instinctive understanding of colour, pattern and surface continues to inform her work, while printmaking lies at the heart of her practice. She forages and grows many of the plants used to create her botanical monoprints, working closely with the rhythms of the seasons and allowing nature itself to dictate the pace of the process.

Her distinctive collaged works are created on pure linen using painstakingly cut and layered botanical rice paper prints. Thin washes of acrylic preserve the texture of the fabric, while delicate printed forms are composed and collaged by hand. Influenced by the economy and restraint of Japanese design, Jade pares back the natural world to reveal its essential forms and stories.

Hidden within her compositions are often smaller creatures and subtle double narratives, inviting closer observation and reflecting her ongoing research into ecology and animal behaviour. For Jade, understanding the relationship between subject and environment is as important as the finished artwork.

Jade was named Mammal Illustrator of the Year in 2025 and has exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition and SWA

Time to introduce the team behind the show.

The fabulous still life paintings of Annie Waring. Annie has been working hard behind the scenes for over a decade to bring The Cranbrook Art Show to life. As a full time professional painter in demand, we are very lucky that she continues to give generously of her time as part of the team.

Still life painting in oil. Simple compositions of objects from Annie's home, or flowers gathered wild or from her garden. Working seasonally from life Annie tries to capture the essence of the subject, concentrating on light, reflections and form.

We are very pleased to welcome Nina Archer to our 2026 line-up. Exhibiting at The Cranbrook Art Show for the first time a selection of her stunning abstracts.

Nina Archer is an abstract painter, living and working in the south Shropshire hills. Following a career in graphic design she moved to Shropshire a few years ago and began painting full time from her studio which overlooks the borderlands of the Welsh Marches. The work is very much about her experience of living and working in this area, a diverse landscape with a distinctive geography of ridgeways, forested valleys, mountains and rivers. She spends time walking, observing and visually recording elements of this landscape. When she is back in the studio she develops these observations through abstracted forms often defined by the dramatic light, black shapes, the darkness and contrast of the forests, accents of colour and the textural feel of this unique landscape.

Nina works with a largely monochromatic palette in acrylic, charcoal and graphite and her work always retains a strong core drawing element. Her training in design has had a significant effect on her understanding of form, proportion and mark making and has been instrumental in the development of a graphic approach to the work.
Nina is represented by several galleries and has exhibited work throughout the UK, including the Royal Cambrian Academy, Wells Art Contemporary, The Society of Women Artists and at many London Art Fairs.

We are very pleased to welcome Claire Gill to our 2026 line-up. Exhibiting at The Cranbrook Art Show a selection of her layered digital collages for the first time.

Claire’s artwork comprises a collection of limited edition Seascape and Treescape prints. These are constructed, poetic landscapes, which sit visually between photography and painting hopefully transporting the viewer to a tranquil place. Claire uses a digital collage approach in Photoshop, digitally cutting out and layering details from photographs she has taken. It is a slow, iterative process, which allows her to discover new scenes, but retain a sense of the places that inspired them.
